02-09-17. Officially the best day of our life!!! Me and rob got married here after almost 10 years together, the place where our story started and the place where our next chapter begins. We want to say the biggest thank you ever to all of the team, especially karen, Simon, tom and jess. The four of you ensured our day ran as perfect as it could have done, it literally was perfect. I am such an organised freak that every item was boxed and tagged and the reception was full when we dropped everything off much to Simon's delight � I was nervous about handing over control of the setting up but I must admit I couldn't have done it any better myself, I was overwhelmed when we had that room reveal, best moment ever. The food was flawless, timings were perfect, staff were phenomenal in helping us feel relaxed, the bridal suite was gorgeous. Again thank you to everyone especially the previous 4 named, we can't thank you enough. X
I got married here at the weekend and i must say what an amazing venue i chose, Karen the wedding organiser was fantastic, i am not the best at organising anything let alone a wedding and Karen was so helpful! Id also like to thank all of the staff at The Riverside, you were all so polite and very helpful, if we needed anything you were there. A special thankyou to Simon, i think you made a great impression on my whole family, you were fantastic, very helpful and made me feel at ease as I was a nervous mess � thankyou so much! I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody �����
We stayed for one night in a disabled access room. The room was brilliant with high quality touches that made us feel special. The staff were so caring and friendly- just so helpful. There was an excellent choice of breakfast and I can only highly recommend a stay here. Exceptionally clean , comfy bed and disabled access in the bathroom was superb.

Absolutely gorgeous room. Stunning and lady at reception desk was Absolutely lovely and very friendly. Waiters at restaurant was good too only issue is when eating at the restaurant all sources are hidden and back. You must ask for them how wasn't ask if I would like any. Only found of when another person asked if they was anything.
We booked a family meal here for my father-in-law's 70th birthday and have to say that we were very happy with the evening. There were eight of us dining and all of the food was fresh, served together, and all varied meals were delicious. Good quality food matched with good quality drinks. The dessert was lovely and the service was very good. The new refurbishment has really given the place a new lease of life and I will be returning again I'm sure.

I've just had a meal in the garden to take advantage of the sun with my partner. I ordered the seafood mix on the specials and my partner had the cheese and bacon burger. The seafood tasted fresh, the prawns were huge, and the potatoes were fluffy and crispy. My partner also really enjoyed his burger, he gives it a 8.5/10, which on his burger scale (yes this is a thing) is pretty good for a pub burger. I also like that there is a decent range of alcohol free drinks. Our food came out in a timely manner and the staff were friendly. Also a great place to go if you like to walk off a meal, as there is a scenic walk by the river. We will definitely be coming back.
Nice looking hotel inside and out. A little bit out the way via the streets of a housing neighbourhood but very quaint. Good sized carpark. Good outside seating, bar, and lounge areas. Good sized meeting room, which then turned into function room. And welcomed dogs.
Went for a family celebration meal on a Saturday evening. Very busy.
Staff all though very busy had time to explain menus and so on.
Bar service was a little slow, and prices seemed quite steep.
Food came out in a reasonable time and was of a good standard.
The building has been nicely redecorated, and this other than being a little dark suits the place.
We will certainly return.

Amazing service by Dave who is regularly on bar duty as well as the amazing quality/quantity of food cooked and served. Service is fast, and even when its busy, there is always an apology to me (as a customer) for the wait to be served. Lovely place overall and will be coming back in the future
It's been a few years since we visited The Riverside and as the weather took a turn for the better this week we decided to call in again.
We could see that the standards are still high in terms of food and service and that some improvements/decoration had been done.
The seating areas outside are still great and provide a lovely calm dining experience.
At the time of our visit (Wednesday lunchtime) it was busy and we were informed of roughly a 45 min wait for food.
In the end it was only about 30 mins.
Not bad at all for a busy and popular eaterie.
The service is friendly and professional, we were served by Ash and Dave who, by their amiable attitude, made our visit even more pleasurable.
Highly recommended
And we'll certainly not leave it so long until our next visit.

Wonderful venue. This is the second time I have attended this location. The first time was as a wedding guest, where it was a fantastically catered event.
This time, I attended with some colleagues for a meal. The service was great, friendly staff and quick service. The choice of food was plentiful, but the menu was not overly complicated.
The food came out quick, hot, and fresh. Portion sizes were spot on. I had the classic pub meal of fish and chips, with mushy peas, and a slice of bread. The meal was very satisfying and filled a large void.
Will certainly return again in the future.
