Best roast we have had in Derbyshire. Plenty of food provided for the price paid. Don't eat before you go as you'll need an empty stomach to finish this amazing mountain of food. Great local ales, the pub has a lovely homely feel with open fires in all rooms. Would highly recommend.

This place is a Gem, the pies was really good and other food that was being brought out looked amazing. Price was really good as well. My friend was drinking pedigree and he said one of the best he had for a long time. The service was brilliant as well 5* thanks will be definitely returning also dogs allowed 👍👍

Had an amazing roast beef dinner in a friendly welcoming pub. Good food and drink. Definitely recommend. Lovely choice of traditional desserts. Also a bonus as very dog friendly.

Great pub. Evidently very popular with locals but not insular by any means. The food was in large portions and tasted great, especially the dessert. The serving staff were all very friendly.
The one minor negative is that we were by the door that led to the toilet and it would slam every now and then. Perhaps some padding would take care of this. But this is very minor!

Went as part of a group of 20 people on a hen weekend. Great welcome and atmosphere. The lamb roast dinner was delicious and very reasonable. The fresh veg servings were huge. Everyone said that they had a lovely meal. Would highly recommend

Quaint old fashion pub off the beaten track, friendly staff ,good traditional food ,good covered gardens to sit in well worth a visit if in the area
