Excellent fresh quality fish and chips, great service and atmosphere, perfect place to warm up after a windswept walk at Saunton Sands. The "mini" cod and chips is in fact a generous plate piled with cod fillet in light crisp batter and portion of proper cut potato chips. Would recommend this place highly.

I recommend anyone and everyone to visit Squires! Please do not let the really fancy look and queues put you off, the value for money is amazing, it looks expensive and from the outside I thought it was too posh for us lol but it is pure quality, and anywhere where people queue to get in speaks volumes. We got there before the busy periods both nights and managed to get straight in. Inside awaits a really friendly relaxed dining experience. We ate there 2 nights whilst on holiday after being recommended to eat there. We can thoroughly recommend the fish and chips and the hot and spicy chicken burger. Just gutted we have nothing that matches closer to home! 🖒🖒🖒

Wow. What a find. We were told (TOLD!) by a local parent we met in a soft play centre to come here and we were not disappointed! Brilliant service from door to table and the food was superb. The fish is very fresh and the portions are very good. Table service and drinks were timely and the requests we had during the meal were dealt with swiftly and perfectly. A great place to have proper sit down fish and chips and there’s even a takeaway part to the business next door. If you’re in the area then this is a must!

Never fails to deliver! Came here for the first time about 40 years ago and it's just as good now as it was then. Has had a makeover since we last came in 2013. Didn't need it in my opinion but its looking fabulous! Food was amazing and so reasonably priced. My advice would be to book a table. Only waited a few minutes for ours as we didn't book! Staff look happy and are really welcoming. 10/10 for everything. Even the loos were pristine!

Impossible not to come to this long established award winning fish and chips restaurant in Braunton. A warm friendly welcome is always available, as is the sumptuous food! Have the award winning cod and chips (and curry sauce), wash it down with a milkshake and leave space for dessert - have the biscoff cheesecake. Highly recommended ❤️❤️

We turned up without a booking. Myself, partner and daughter. Unfortunately the only place they had was right next to the kitchen. It was OK though. Seats weren't as comfortable as not upright and being 32 weeks pregnant at the time, I could have done with more support. The service however was lovely, they did apologise for the table. The food was delicious. The curry sauce was like a chicken curry sauce. Our daughter loved the sausage and chips and you get a big portion for your money. You can also get free refills on the chips.

Reliably fantastic fish and chips served in a lovely restaurant, if you want to sit down (take away is just as good). And if you want something a bit different from the standard, they have some excellent options on their menu. I would never miss a visit when in this part of the UK.

The best fish and chip restaurant ever! Simply superb and impeccable service at a very reasonable price. Many other restaurants could learn from Squires about how to provide great food with great service at a great price.

We have been visiting Squires regularly for about 12 years (if not longer). We absolutely love Squires. Very family friendly, amazing deep fried halloumi and they even give you extra chips for free. Great value for money and very friendly.

Family favourite whenever we are in the area. Good atmosphere, lovely staff, fast service, child friendly, delicious food and oh my their thick shakes are to die for!!! Oh and the best curry sauce ever! See you again soon.
