Cat Soup Kitchen

Street food at its absolute finest !!! Forget restaurants and hotels these young guys and girls all doing a fantastic job! We had Halloumi flatbread, cheeseburger and skinny fries . All of it was so fresh and tasty, the burger was actually a meat patty rather than a compressed piece of mass-processed rubbish. The flatbread was accompanied by some delicious flavoured sauces and crisp salad, and the fries were nicest I have had in years ! Despite being super busy all arrived in decent time, and was piping hot. We sat by the river and tables were cleared and cleaned as soon as people left, the cardboard boxes the food is served in were emptied and stacked for recycling. These guys and girls are doing a cracking job, better than most restaurants that I’ve paid a whole lot more for. I shall most definitely 100% return and highly recommend to anyone 11 out of 10 for this little gem of a place 😋😋

Fantastic place, lovely staff and great food, seems they have a fixed menu and then specials each night. We had the Japanese Fried Chicken from the fixed menu and Jamaican Lamb Curry special, both were fantastic. Outside dining only so if you don't want to take away check the weather! Benches overlooking the river. Highly recommended. They also have a licence so had a small selection of bottled beers. A number of vegetarian options were also available.

Luckily we found this on our last day in Brecon which is a shame as it was the best food we had during our time in Brecon. The restaurant is only open Weds - Sunday and has outdoor seating only which wasn't a problem for usbas the location is lovelynext to the canal. We had the grilled chicken flatbread and the meatloaf and both were fresh tasty and satiating. Great choice of ingredients and well cooked and flavoured. The roquito sauce is delicious! I'd also say they were priced well compared with many options in Brecon which seemed on the pricier side.

Came past Brecon on the way home from Pembrokeshire and needed to find somewhere to eat on the way back to England. We found this place and boy am I glad we did!!! An incredibly tasty little gem, hidden away in Brecon. Seating is outdoors overlooking the confluence of both rivers which is a nice setting to eat. We tried the JFC and Japanese style fries (sorry I can't remember the name). It was delicious and will seek out again when were in this neck of the woods again. 5 🌟

Came to see Brecon Beacons for a day trip and needed to grab a vegan lunch. Cat Soup Kitchen exceeded our expectations! We had the Seitan Herb Kebab and the Tofu Fried Chicken with rice. Everything was so delicious. You sit at the benches in front of the river which is such a lovely setting. Staff are pretty cool too.
