Wellington Hotel

Myself and my partner decided to come spontaneously as we had just gotten engaged so wanted a Sunday roast, unfortunately they had run out of roast which we were so disappointed, however, Jacob was fantastic! He offered us the normal menu and explained if we weren’t happy he would happily give us recommendations, however we decided to stay as we wanted to celebrate, the food was delicious, disappointing to find our favourite dessert of sticky toffee was also all gone but Jacob was just fantastic, couldn’t fault the service from him. Will definitely return for a roast and try to celebrate our engagement again very soon!! Thank you Jacob for making our day fabulous. You’re a credit to the company!

Service was lovely, staff were friendly and polite. Very clean and inviting. We had Sunday lunch which was absolutely beautiful and well worth the price. Will definitely return in the future. Was easy to book online, especially at short notice. Was at the end of a camping trip, and we wanted a Sunday lunch to round it off, and we were not disappointed. Thank you.

After arranging a mid-week meet up with a friend, we decided on an early evening meal in the Wellington Hotel. A rather large & imposing looking building in the centre of Brecon, the interior offers a calmness away from the hubbub of town. Spacious, immaculate & tastefully decorated, the Wellington is full of surprises & the lovely staff were very smiley, polite & attentive. We ordered our food from the main menu, as these meals were on a 30% discount promotion. We both had burgers, one cheese & bacon & one Signature. They were both plentiful & delicious & we highly recommend them. We are looking forward to our next visit & encourage you to try a meal at the Wellington Hotel, if you haven't already.

I received a friendly welcome, staff were helpful and advised the best way to get mum and her wheelchair into the hotel. We were asked for our drinks order as soon as we settled into our seats and given time to make menu choices. All the food arrived in good time, however, my nachos were missing the chilli so I had to wait whilst everyone else ate. Overall we had an enjoyable experience the food was good, service was good. The only thing that put is off eating here again was the smell of the large friendly dog wafting over as we ate.

We booked here as a back up in case the weather was bad for our camping trip & so glad we did. The food was excellent ( both had the Rib eye steaks) which were cooked to perfection. Dessert was just as good and the service was friendly and carried out with a smile. Will definitely come back when we are next in the area ( weather good or bad !!)
