A lovely pub that had a good local and friendly atmosphere. The team are very welcoming and have their act together when it comes to social distancing and even though they have a reduced menu they still have plenty to choose from. The food is excellent and fresh tasting and not lacking in size. Would definitely recommend

Perfect choice.. Stayed for 2 nights with children and their partners plus 2 dogs.. Rooms - perfect, breakfast - plenty of choice and well presented, dinner both nights - perfect, staff - very attentive and friendly. Close to the spots that we were planning to visit.

There was a warm reception when we arrived. We'd booked as there was 6 of us and one a vegan. The covid 19 restrictions were in place but that didn't interfere with us. As the vegan I would like to say that my meal was superb. The others also thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The owners were very accommodating with our meal requests and the atmosphere was very warm and friendly. We will definitely be returning for our Sunday lunch in the near future.

Restaurant review: Really lovely food - my husband had the shredded lamb shoulder and I had a nut roast that was super yummy! They were very accommodating to swap my mash for chips. We had profiteroles for dessert too which was very well presented!

Positive: Lovely helpful family running this very pleasant hotel/ Inn. Our room was very nice, comfortable, clean and warm. Dinner menu and food were fantastic (especially the mixed seafood mac & cheese!).. Negative: An extra saussage/ larger at breakfast would have been very welcome..

The first pub we visited after the lockdown ease and we couldn't be more satisfied with the food and service we experienced here. We had a creamy mushroom and spinach risotto with veggies as a side from the Sunday roast menu, and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Both dishes were incredibly delicious! Also, the staff were very kind and attentive. We'll definitely go back!
