Always very friendly and welcoming, with a nice atmosphere and lots of tables - the terrace out the back is really lovely. Perfect for post-work drinks. Loads of craft beer on offer!

A nice quaint and pleasant little pub, Visited midday during the week so it was nice and quiet.. Some nice beers and ales on tap, Highly recommend the pizzas.. two for one and of very good quality.

Good to see one of the few original pubs in the area still going. They always have plenty of ales and lagers on along with the usual customs. They do a great barbecue on a match day too with burgers et al.
Based upon the latest visit the chaps behind the bar were friendly and playing some vinyl. Outdoors was nice too with sport on and the outdoor bar open. The folks was decent and portions big (chicken schnitzel, chips and salad was just over £15).
Well situated and one of the better pubs in the area. One of the last ones standing nearby by all accounts.

Wow, not been here for a while but having the GTECH stadium next door has transformed The Express Tavern. Great crowd, fab garden, easy ordering on their app that you can run a tab on AND share it with mates.
Very good Guinness and great food.
Love it, well worth a visit 😎

The food was just simply tasty as can be , i had the pie of the day and it did not disappoint me. I have been waiting months to get a homemade pie and it was 5/5 the mash and PROPER gravy paired nicely, nice selection of drinks And had a good London pub vibe, the gent who served me was a nice gent full of chat and flair sadly i did not get his name but he was bald flamboyant gent very friendly .

Without a doubt, it was a lovely place, Awesome outdoors, but one difficultness, the walk out on the green, was lumpy and uneven, as I've got bad legs, it was difficult to walk on, and I became scared in case my legs went under..
But again, lovely pub, and outside,

Big, with a Winter Garden and an open space where you can smoke. Order possible via QR Code, then a servant comes to your table with your ordered items. Cozy, clean, nice atmosphere. Big selection of beer. Haven't tried the food.
