Went for dinner on Friday and absolutely loved the food and atmosphere. We had a burger and chips, perfectly cooked with very good quality meat. We also had the ribeye steak with bernaise sauce, which was so delicious and again high quality meat. It was such a big steak I couldn’t even finish it. Will be going back as soon as we can.

Nice Sunday roast, enjoyed in the outdoor space by the river on a sunny day. As for the service, it was quite slow.

Great food and lovely location next to the canal. We were lucky with the weather and sat outside with a live dj and great atmosphere.

Went in for Sunday Roast served by the lovely Sandra and Aiden who were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drinks .Sandra recommended the pork bellyand it did not disappoint. Meat was cooked perfectly and veg seasoned and prepared perfectly. Highly recommend the roast at the Weir. Been here a few times and it never disappoints. Previously had the beef roast which was also great. Now the drinks. Aiden was really helpful in finding the right cocktail for me. Great cocktails great prices great bar will be returning

A fine destination gastropub with low ceilings and a delightful riverside garden to the rear. A selection of keg beers on offer but nothing from the cask to keep the real ale drinkers happy (at least as far as I could see). Plenty of champagne to drink instead! Service is spot on and the place feels lived in and comfy. An enjoyable place to visit on a lazy summer afternoon.

We recently visited your restaurant to ring in the New Year and I have to say, we're thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was great and the new year decorations were fantastic. The food was also very good and the dancing and music added an extra touch of excitement to the night. But the real standout was our waitress, Sue. She was incredibly friendly and had a great sense of humor. She really made the night special for us. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience and we will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you for such a memorable evening!

The Weir hosted my mother-in-law's belated 70th private birthday celebration in the conservatory area, which overlooked the garden area next to the water. Here's what she had to say: The room was lovely and bright, and nicely decorated with flowers and balloons, with a designated table for the buffet. We were looked after well by Jackie, and had our own dedicated member of staff for the duration of the party, who soon got into the swing of things and looked after my guests' wishes...filling up the glasses, replenishing the food on the plates, taking away empty ones, so everything look neat and tidy. Joanne also arranged for a little cheeseboard laid out after the dinner (at no extra cost to me), and I was allowed to bring my own Birthday cake at no extra cost. There was some gentle background music, 'golden oldies', before the resident band arrived and played some really good songs - one of my guests hinted he might want to come back for a pint j ust to hear the band play! Speaking to my friends and neighbours afterwards, they all had positive things to say. They said the food was delicious, that they enjoyed themselves and that it was a great venue. Others said they had a really lovely evening and that it was a great atmosphere with nice ambience. The pub's communication with me was professional throughout and I am very pleased with how well everything went. Thank you!
