Great pub with an authentic old school vibe. Has a great outdoor area with the footy shown. Great pints which are always fresh. They are very comfortable with kids or pets

A quick stop for drinks with a friend on a Wednesday night. Very efficient service, friendly atmosphere and some non alcoholic beer & cider choices for drivers.
Didn't eat there but their sister pub is our local The Robin so I would expect it to be good food.

Great place to pop in for lunch. Curry and lasagne were good. Like the large area for non smokers outside. Decent ale, running Ttimothy Taylor's landlord.

Great place for a drink in Shenfield in the Sun. The new outdoor seating is brilliant. Plenty of seats and tables to choose from and lovely atmosphere all round. As for food, you can only have some if you have reserved beforehand (?).
After a few very comfortable beers, we were told no food (7pm on a Tuesday?) so had to leave and go elsewhere. Everyone else had the same view it seems as the pub rapidly emptied out around that time.
Bar food in the evening would be a welcomed improvement!

I came into the pub on Saturday with my family for my cousins birthday and then again with my sisters side of the family on Tuesday the same girl served us Maya I think her name was she is new to the business and did extremely well for her first week. Need more staff like her who is engaging with customers and is able to work but have fun with her peers. Well done Maya!! ❤️

The pub has recently been renovated to great effect. It has retained its local pub charm but is now far warmer and welcoming. Great drinks selection, food is always good and hearty portions, staff are always friendly. Best pub in shenfield by a distance

Fabulous food, lovely landlady & friendly helpful staff who were so accommodating even when asked for a variation to what was on the menu, nothing was too much trouble. Great atmosphere, this was our first visit but definitely wont be our last. Great value for money & the chocolate & raspberry desert is to die for!
