Great place to pop in for lunch. Curry and lasagne were good. Like the large area for non smokers outside. Decent ale, running Ttimothy Taylor's landlord.
A quick stop for drinks with a friend on a Wednesday night. Very efficient service, friendly atmosphere and some non alcoholic beer & cider choices for drivers. Didn't eat there but their sister pub is our local The Robin so I would expect it to be good food.
Great place for a drink in Shenfield in the Sun. The new outdoor seating is brilliant. Plenty of seats and tables to choose from and lovely atmosphere all round. As for food, you can only have some if you have reserved beforehand (?). After a few very comfortable beers, we were told no food (7pm on a Tuesday?) so had to leave and go elsewhere. Everyone else had the same view it seems as the pub rapidly emptied out around that time. Bar food in the evening would be a welcomed improvement!
