Nice little Bistro good choice on the menu not a big menu but overall you would find something you like fab prices I would visit again

Lovely friendly bistro, bright colourful interesting decor and artwork. Lovingly prepared meals. Good quality food. Also great for just stopping by for a cappuccino. Very reasonable prices. Spotlessly clean.

Food was on point, service was top notch and staff very friendly. Nice quiet cafe me and my partner went in to complete some court papers and it kept us in good spirits with the positive vibes and atmosphere in there. Overall 5*s

Our first visit to The Mess and how lovely it was! Omelettes, tea and cake, perfectly cooked, brewed and baked. The service was friendly and prompt too - everything that you could ask for. We will be sure to be back again!

Returned for lunch with friends and were not disappointed with service or food. Sandwiches and omlette all good portions and freshly made. Coffee and walnut cake was so light and tasted good.

Lovely stop on the canal. Pleasant walk to town and stumbled upon the mess Bistro. Chirizo and kale potato hash. Wow. Would recommend to anyone. Friendly attentive staff. Varied menu and nice view of the town from the glazed windows.
Such a lovley place to stop on the four counties ring if traveling by canal.

I've always enjoyed the food and service here. I need 3 courses to be full though. They even did me a cheese board once when I had it ordered when the table was booked in advance and they didnt normally do it on the menu. Returned on several occasions and also Been to some of their theme nights.
