The Pelican - Bridgend - Photo album

Called in on the way to an afternoon stroll on Ogmore beach. What a great choice! We both chose from the very reasonably-priced lunch-time menu that had plenty of options. The food was promptly served, piping hot and delicious. The service was excellent. We couldn't help overhearing a seemingly awkw
A great, atmospheric country pub in a superb location overlooking the historic Ogmore Castle and Stepping Stones. Very good food and very large portions - and not for a silly price.
Very cozy and nice restaurant with lovely staff, very close to Ogmore by Sea beach and in front of the ruins of Ogmore Castle. The food options that we had weren’t amazing for the price but maybe other options were better. I’d probably go back again and try. There’s seating outside so perfect for a
Simply stunning dining in a beautiful setting .food was outstanding.
Lovely place and beautiful location overlooking the countryside and close to Ogmore beach. Food was mostly very good, I would definitely recommend the bbq chicken and cow pie. The salmon tagliatelle would have been nice but a side of peas, broad beans and green beans mixed in meant there was too muc
Had lunch and a drink, huge plate of nachos to share, then chicken curry with rice and chips for mains. Dog friendly with dog biscuits on the bar. Great service from a friendly team 👏
Lovely outdoor seating area. Good food and generous portions. Close to the castle and stepping stones.
Nice dog friendly pub with plenty of outside seating. Beers were good and reasonably priced, food also was decent and not too badly priced. Staff were friendly, helpful and service was quick. Great location and worth a visit.
Reopened 7 weeks ago after changing hands, with a more expensive menu and no specials. Very disappointed as this was my favourite pub in the area. They are still dog friendly but you don't seem to be able to eat inside - the explanation by the waitress about a 'holding area' didn't make much sense.
Very good food and service, a bit pricey but worth it; good for a casual drink or smart events. Dog friendly in one half of the pub, good amount of tables indoors and out. Friendly and welcoming staff, would gladly go again!
Lovely little pub with great food. The two meals for £15 is great value for money during the day. Great place to stop if you're visiting the beach at Ogmore or Ogmore Castle. Plenty of outdoor seating for the summer too
Very sweet pub just a few minutes’ drive from the beach. I went there for New Year’s day and had excellent service from the staff there, and quick delivery. To me, the experience was what pubs should be!
Nice countryside pub, dog and child friendly. The inn has parking and offers outside seating, surroundings are great, right next castle ruins. Selection of beer and ales, wine and spirits (good gin selection). Friendly staff
From the time we arrived, to tge time we left. The food was hit & Good portions. The Staff were helpful. Pleasant. & Friendly. The atmosphere was fun & Homely.
On a trip down from Glastonbury to see my Daughter in Barry, we took a drive along the coast and found this gem of a pub. Food was not only gorgeous but very reasonable considering cost of living price hikes and the staff were so nice. Definitely coming here again.
Just had lunch in Pelican for the first time. It definitely wont be the last.. The food wad delicious. Had the ballentine of chicken (incredible) followed by the most truly scrumptious Eton Mess. It was a thing of beauty in appearance and taste. 😋. Staff were super friendly and attentive, but not in
