I went out this afternoon to find some beauty spots around Bridgwater for photographs. Unfortunately, the light was not great, so I gave up for now and went to the new Elysian Café on New Road in Bridgwater, between the bus station and St. John's Street. I ordered a cappuccino and their Russian style crêpes with cottage cheese, strawberry sauce and frozen berries. The food was delicious and beautifully presented (see pic) and the owner was really friendly. They offer both cash and card payments and are open until late (for a café). The atmosphere feels like a denn, lots of plants and natural wood decoration with low hanging lights and slow, calming music. The food, the atmosphere, the service was all brilliant. Absolutely recommended, 11/10.
