We ordered two ice-creams and were quite hopeful as the ice-cream looked delicious however my hopes were dashed when I saw the condition of the woman's hands and nails who was serving us I've seen cleaner hands on Alan Tichmarsh after an episode of love your garden! My husband's face was a mask of horror as she handed him his cone. Needless to say they went straight in the bin and we went to vanilla instead! Neither one of us could bring ourselves to eat something that would surely result in an upset stomach!
This ice-cream parlour is a must stop when in Brid. The ice-cream is moreish and the choice is excellent. Family run, better than Jeromes
Looking for somewhere to grab a drink and sandwich, menu looked tempting so gave it a go. Coffee very nice as was the children’s milk shakes, that’s where it stops, cheese sandwich and toasted cheese sandwich were obviously prepared in a hurry, presentation didn’t exist, supposed to cone with side salad, we ordered two scones with jam, came with a lot of cream and a touch of jam. The staff all seemed a little vacant and maybe were just having a bad day, but we won’t be going back.
Really good coffee and at the right temperature. Fair selection of cakes and the ice cream looked tempting. Service was fast.
Small Italian coffee house and ice cream parlour. It was excellent coffee and ice cream for my family on a cold wet and windy day. The staff were brilliant. Well worth a visit.
Been visiting Notarianni since 1969,
- Ice cream's great selection, always super tasty.
- Great lovely coffee's
- Fresh cakes and snacks
If you've never been, be assured of great friendly service.
Rode from York - Bridlington and was meant to get back but it was freezing and I was very cold. Stopped here to warm up. They let me take my bike in and the owner and lady behind the counter were so so nice, and the coffee was really good. Lovely people, thanks for being so kind. Will definitely be back and would recommend!!
Visited here many times over the years but first review. Great coffee (thanks Linda) nice snacks and some delicious ice cream.
Called in yesterday out of the rain. Very friendly staff. Probably the only dog friendly place open in Brid
Always like to call in here for coffee when visiting Bridlington. Very chatty staff, always made welcome.
Recently visited Notarianni’s with the family. Been coming here for many years. Notarianni’s used be a well run family business. Silvio’s vanilla ice cream was the best! Sadly in recent years the business has declined. Now the food and service are poor. Menu is very expensive, considering how poor the quality is. Much better places on the Esplanade. Such a shame as I used enjoy my trips here. Sadly won’t be coming here again. End of an era.
Came here as a trip down memory lane as been visiting Notarianni’s with my Grandma for years (39 to be precise) so bought my chn and my Mum as a treat and shocked at service and quality. Stood waiting to be served while 4 waitresses stood laughing and chatting until one said is anyone serving this lady and another replied “no” eventually got served. Not pleasant service as other waitresses stood cleaning nails and putting on make up behind the counter. Knickerbocker glory was very disappointing not at all how they used to be. All in all thing it’s had it’s day and needs better staff. Far better service and quality at Vanilla - just around the corner. We won’t be returning to Notarianni as memories far better than present day service and quality!!
After getting caught in the rain on Friday we rushed in here for hot chocolates as cold and wet. We nearly had to leave as cash machine not working but borrowed some off one of my children! They enjoyed their hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows. Coffee was nice too. So two criticisms having to pay cash and also self service. It would have been nice to not have to stand and wait for the drinks to be made just saying.
Always call in here when we visit Bridlington. Good quality coffee and fantastic ice cream. Even as they were getting to closing time the service was friendly and welcoming.
Recently stopped at Notarianni for some lunch and a drink. We had a sandwich and a can of coke each, both were quite expensive with each sandwich costing £3.20 and didn’t come with any salad. The cans of coke were £1.50 each.
The cafe is clean, tidy and when the weather is nice, open fronted but unfortunately the expensive and average food mean I can’t give it any more that 3/5.
Fantastic ice cream. Was served by Natalie who was really helpful and happy. Will be there again soon
A real gem, we visited for a drink, every day on our holiday. The owner is a lovely man, friendly and attentive. We loved our drinks, we tried something different everyday. The ice creams are out of this world.
I'm appalled at the lack of customer service, length of time we had to wait for two toasties and two panini's.
I ordered a tuna panini and asked if it was made with onions ... the look I received was a one of annoyance as if she wanted to say 'stupid question's, she then said very slowly 'without'. I asked for a hot drink - (that was fine), she rang my order in the till then started to turn her back when she gave me a price, so I didn't catch what she said, I had to ask again - very ignorant! My friend ordered 2 toasties and a tuna panini, in the meantime it appeared as though there was an atmosphere between the staff, one shaking her head and the one who served me looked like she just wasn't in the mood for pleasantries! My panini came ... With cheese, which I didn't ask for, salad and a dollop of coleslaw. My friends waited 25 minutes for their toasties, our friend waited nearly 40 minutes for her panini - no salad, no coleslaw!! No serviettes, no apologies for waiting so long. I asked if we could have some water for our dog, I was told "it's outside"! Only reason I am giving one point is because when the food did eventually did come it was nice. We won't be back though 🚫
Arriving here with the family to try their coffee and snacks we were not disappointed to find that the seating stretched right into the back with loads of space. We were served by Natalie who was very pleasant and made some great latte's, her morale and cheerfulness during a busy period is a credit to the business.
The only thing I will say is that the seating area is very noisy especially when the toilet door is open and the noise of the hand dryer drowns out any conversation. That is more of a customer shutting the door issue than anything else.
We will definitely return though and will enjoy further pit stops on our trips.
Great coffee and panini! Will try the famous ice cream next time! Spacious, child friendly and pleasant staff.
