The food is really nice and decently priced, however it is short staffed for how busy it gets and the waiting on staff need to get together with their boss to get the basics of collecting empty plates and wiping tables, collecting glasses and looking busy. Even the chef was serving food.
Went back to the sterling castle while visiting bridlington again this October for our evening meal and once again it didn't disappoint. Large mixed grill was exactly that and cooked exactly how I like it, the wife's gammon was spot on as was my daughters lasagne, we all cleaned our plates. Very reasonably priced, great tasty food, highly recommended
This stylish, very clean & tidy pub is one of Bridlington's 'destination pubs'. The unassuming exterior hides a fabulous, open plan & roomy interior with a superb upstairs area overlooking the harbour. Visited on a midweek lunchtime. This relaxing venue - with very friendly locals & great staff (who obviously enjoy working here) offers an unusually large menu to suit all tastes. Well planned seating and a long bar. A 'sister pub' to the Apollo that shows what investment & good design can achieve. Very impressed.
We have been to Stirling castle a couple of times found it ok but we went on Sunday 8th September it was busy we had a dog ok there not allowed but then we had a wheelchair we was happy to go outside with dog but it was hard to push the chair onto cobbles so husband had to struggle to reach the out side only to find there was no room outside ! Not expecting people to move but not one person helped us someone could have checked for us save us a lot of effort and time certainly won't be bothering anymore that's for sure
We visited on a recent trip to Bridlington band were pleasantly surprised. Although it was busy it was still roomy. We had a sharing platter which was good value and delicious. To top it off they had a live band singing Queen songs and were Fabulous! The staff were friendly, especially the doorman from Bradford.
Don't judge a book by its cover. Not much to look at from the outside but once inside its bright, cen and well kept. Great menu offering a good choice of food at reasonable prices. We enjoyed it that much we made a second visit and would definitely call again when we visit Bridlington.
Called with our 2 grandchildren on a damp humid day. We had fish, chips and mushy peas. They were absolutely beautiful. The children had sausage chips and beans, the other pizza chips and beans. All were beautifully served. Would certainly call again and highly recommended.
This pub is right on the sea front so lovely views. Food was good also. All in all a nice place to visit. Anne walker
Me & my boyfriend came here after a very early morning at work for our tea. Staff were friendly Mark the manager severed us he didn't mind having a little chat while we were paying which I always like when I vist places. It was clean, food was nice especially the chips & reasonably priced. I did feel we was waiting a little longer than other places for our food but it was worth the wait. I noticed the seats were very comfortable & I loved that it was quite as in there was no music just tennis quietly playing in the background so we could still have a convosation. Would vist again
Really welcoming staff an regulars, uncomplicated menus and food ,clean and comfortable, what's not to like .

We ate at the Sterling Castle on numerous occasions & would most certainly return again, the food was lovely, everything fresh, well presented & very fresh, the staff are very welcoming & friendly & nothing is too much trouble for them. Would Highly Recommend :)
Went here for lunch and it was absolutely amazing. Had fish and chips, the fish was fresh and the batter was like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. The chips was spot on and because the food was so good we decided to have desserts. We had chocolate fudge cake and bake well tart, it did not disappoint. Amazing quality of food for the pricing. Would highly recommend!
Great little pub. Had a nice burger and chips here, good customer service too. Prices were reasonable for the area. Would definitely come back next time I am visiting
Nice pub overlooking harbour. Wide menu. Had a fish sharing platter and 2 glasses of wine for less than £20. Good quality & more than enough for lunch for two.
Nice food. Perfect pub atmosphere. Big screens for sport and accommodating to a variety of different parties. Would recommend especially on Fridays when there is always a live band on. Good example of public house in the old days mixed with the modern amenities that keep up with ever changing customer expectation.

Warm and welcoming great new menu,went for the pizza option 1st time I've enjoyed a pizza so much that I've cleared a 12 inch on my own the food quality was way better than previous visits and all our meals came out together despite the fact it was pretty busy so compliments to the kitchen staff will be visiting again soon.
We live in Bridlington and want this pub to be good as it has excellent views overlooking the harbour. It really is time the managers took a look at the poor state of the furnishings. We sat upstairs for the view and would have eaten but the pages of menu were stuck together. The food here used to be so good, with home -cooked specials like prawn curry, but now it's just like everywhere else. The armchairs were disgusting. One of them has its upholstery falling apart to reveal mould. There was a lot of broken glass in the balcony. I was glad they had refurbished the ladies toilet, but they had not cleaned the door handle of decades of grime so it must be contaminating everyone entering. Sort it out before Wetherspoons refurbishment completes at the end of July, or you miss out!!

The castle in on a hill and the walk through the beautiful old town to get there. Easy walk from station. Inside is full of information on the history of the castle and its people. Most beautiful tapestries. Well worth the visit.
