Haven't been here for years to be honest. What a change from the last time I went the food was great. We had a table of 10 and it all came together. I had tandoori chicken skewers delicious they were. Service also was excellent table was cleared quickly after we'd eaten. Definitely recommend it

Tried here after many different visits to various sizzling pubs over the years and this one is by far the best! Me and my family visited here today for lunch and the curry platter was beautiful and great value for money, the gammon was delicious and the two burgers were really good portions. The staff were friendly and accommodating especially with allergies. Really fantastic place and great value for money!

We’ve come away on a holiday trip and have visited The Friendly Forester twice, once for lunch and once for our evening meal. Both times were great experiences, the meals were delicious, served quickly and warm.
The pricing is great for the portion sizes and quality of the food. Child friendly for our wild toddler as well.
All staff we encountered were friendly and provided really good service.
Would highly recommend a visit.

Lovely food & service not too long of a wait. We arrived at 7.30pm and was told they stopped food at 8pm we wasn't made to rush our decision. Staff are friendly and attentive.

The food was delicious and we couldn’t fault our main meal. Unfortunately dessert was not quite right. My partner’s dessert was brought to the table and was sat there 10 minutes before someone came to tell us why our other desserts hadn’t arrived yet. When they did arrive despite myself and son ordering the same they were different and my son was quite upset that bits were missing off his.

The staff here are fab. We stayed locally while we were house hunting in the area. We got chatting to the barman and he gave us loads of advice on areas to look at. The food was great with a good choice of menu. Will definitely make this a regular stop.

We didn't book a table but were happily seated at the only one which has become free. Staff were friendly and explained the ordering process clearly despite being busy. Food was delicious for a great price and arrived much quicker than originally told. Will gladly go again.

We had booked a table which was very easy to do on line. Upon arrival we was greeted by a very pleasant member of the team and showed to our table with instructions to order and pay at the bar. We was served promptly at the bar by a pleasant young lady the food arrived quickly and was very tasty all our party thoroughly enjoyed it.
