Recommended by a hotel employee and really wasn't disappointed. The restaurant is small and was packed. Felt sorry for staff as 2 had let them down.
We had a good mix of bindhi bhaji, chicken Malaya, cheese and garlic naan and a king Prawn biryani.
No point breaking each down as all were hot and tasty.
They advertise as an authentic Indian restaurant. They haven't wasted time doing 100's of dishes. It is a focused well planned menu.
We are oassing through but I thoroughly recommend eating here.
The very best Indian restaurant in Dorset, eat in or take away, standard and flavour is superb. Helen, Rafik and the whole team have made this restaurant a unique and welcoming place to eat. Delicious, would highly recommend to anyone in the area. It is a must for anyone who loves a great authentic taste of India. Thank you Taj ..

Good curry house! Definitely well made and were able to cater for a large group really well
It was pouring with rain and I was very hungry but despite being fully booked, they gave me a 4 seater table provided I could be out by the time the guests arrived. To that end they took my order straight away and my chicken shashlik arrived quickly, a very generous portion which was delicious. I was easily out by the required time but the staff were attentive and didn't make me feel anxious, well done.
What a gem. Family restaurant. Beautiful food. Can’t recommend it enough.
Thank you.

We visited the Taj Mahal whilst staying at The Greyhound hotel a few buildings down.
The food was amazing, the staff were amazing, nice calm atmosphere.
I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Always quality food and friendly service at the Taj Mahal. Tonight's delight was Bhuna prawn sag. Onion Bhaji superb as ever.
