The Haymaker Steak House

Visited this lovely restaurant last night not easy to find when you don't live round there but definitely worth the travel. Couldn't fault the place lovely ,clean, friendly staff,amazing food ,served really quickly,the only fault me and my boyfriend had was they didn't ask if you wanted more drinks but other than that would definitely recommend had a lovely evening thank you .

Best meal we've had out for ages. Good atmosphere, I had creamy garlic mushrooms packed with flavour while the wife had Chunky spicy chicken wings. Main course was chop chop chilli beef with homemade chips and salad very tasty, the wife had sea bass cooked to perfection with salad, and to finish creme egg brownie which was amazing, the other half had ferrero rocher cheesecake . Service was spot on and all the staff did an excellent job . A friendly goodbye from the manageress too. Very very good.

Ate here last night. Excellent all round. Service was top notch, friendly and attentive. Lots of staff on hand too. A big difference on when we last visited a few years ago. The place was full by the time we left. We started with a sharer plate of nachos, which was great, all ingredients looked and tasted fresh. For main we both had steak, one sirloin, one rib eye, both cooked and seasoned perfectly. With loads of fresh homemade chips and fresh veg and salad. We were very full after all that but made room for the Ferrero Rocher brownies, these are to die for! A must try! Nice to eat a meal these days where it felt like no corners were cut, everything was fresh and done to make the meal perfect (E.g. Fresh chopped garnish and mozzarella on the nachos not just dried parsley or just cheddar, lots of homemade chips & fresh veg, extra melted chocolate on the side of the dessert etc. etc.) The price isn't cheap, but it felt about the right for the quality and amount you get.
