A great place to eat. Friendly staff, lovely food. We went for the Tappas style meal with a mix of starters in stead of a main meal. It was ample food and very tasty, presented well and filling.

Fab bar nestled away near the river. Beautiful building and grounds. Especially nice around the outdoor riverside beer garden. Will definitely return!

I have stopped by this old mill a couple of times and it is a nice place i have to say.
One issue i had was distinguishing between staff and visitors. I would recommend some sort of uniform to separate easier make them spot-able a little bit more.
Food was okay. A little spicy overall.
Didn’t have time to wait very long for service.
I liked the drinks.
Would i go back?
Probably not especially for that particular place, but if i end up being around that corner of Huddersfield some day I wouldn’t mind having tea there again.

First time eating here and will definitely be back. Food was amazing. Ian who served us was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. He was very helpful. The shared starter was lovely and plenty for 2 people. We had the fish grill , cajun chicken burger , smothered chicken and the duo Korean chicken. All were served hot and fresh and delicious. The puddings were amazing too.
I'd highly recommend to anyone thinking of eating here.

A tricky one to rate tbh!
Positives
Great location. The building is large and has character.
Calm atmosphere leading to a relaxing, chilled meal.
Staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
Ample parking.
During warmer months, this would be great to sit outside and relax, looking out over the river.
Negatives
I didn't feel that the Sunday roast was anything special. I was warm rather than hot, some of the meat a little fatty, and there could have been more veg.
The price. For what I received (including drinks), I feel this place is a little pricey. I've no issue paying a premium if the food is of an equal standard, which I didn't feel that it was. I wasn't a fan of the frozen peas either! 🙁
Overall, I'd probably rate this as 3.5, as the food is a major reason for attending, so the positives are somewhat offset.

Lovely warm and friendly place. Love the open real fire, lovely welcoming atmosphere.
Went for lunch with a colleague, food was amazing.

Really nicely situated close to the motorway but in a secluded tree lined area. Ample parking on site and a really nice building with cool interior.
I had the steak and ale pie delicious and good portion too. I'm sure we will be back again soon :)

Absolutely amazing didn't book still found room food was amazing and very quick. We went out last week kids free and it was a shambles so was lovely to be somewhere where I mattered and was looked after will defo be returning all staff and so nice aswell so homely x
