Solid Mexican but it requires a bit extra to get that 5th ⭐! Tasty and quick service!
The 🌵 cactus hash browns were lovely, same goes for the fried beans with feta and nachos.
We also had ox tail croquettes that were nice but could have been cooked for longer at a slow temperature because they were tender but did not melt in the mouth as they should. Also they could have used an extra pinch of salt.
Same goes for the tacos, we had the short rib ones and exactly the same applies, they needed an extra touch of salt and a bit longer in the cooker for that melt in the mouth sensation. The taco itself was tearing apart, which means that it was possibly undercooked. Otherwise, they were really nice!
We also had the artichoke which tasted more like a potato than a typical artichoke but it was nice.
Overall, Mexican cuisine has that extra freshness and zing, which weren't present.
The margaritas were lovely. Service was decent too. Overall, a solid spot!
10/10 I had a call to make at 7PM so I called and texted their fb and asked if it’ll be possible for everything to be done by 6:30 and I’d be arriving at 5 and they attended to my matter quickly and efficiently(dude who is on the fb page you’re a G 🙏🏼)Tom and another lovely person was there and they were so friendly and was quick to get us seated. The food was amazing, there wasn’t too much or little of anything; every ingredient complimented each other perfectly! the sea bass was so tender and crispy (I am such a hater of fish so I’m super picky and I loved it), the soft shell crab taco was so good and the short rib taco was so juicy. Again, 10/10, thank you guys!! ( also if you drink, order the classic margarita it’s literally the best I’ve ever had :D) sehr gut !! lecker!!!
I had lunch at Halisco on a sunny day in Brighton. The vegan crispy mushroom gave all the good chicken feels. The waiter was very friendly and exchanges a personal note with every customer. I recommend!
Very friendly atmosphere and reasonably realistic tacos. It’s hard to find proper ingredients that truly reflect Mexican cuisine. Plenty of drinks and cocktails, including mezcal. Great knowledgeable staff and plenty of room to sit outside.

& the team fit us in to the last 2 seats on a busy Friday. The food was authentic & tasty as hell! The spicy margarita was epic & they even sell the best beer in the world Pacifico Clara! Best dish was the hash brown with jalapeño mayo, no photo as it lasted secounds. Top notch venue & staff would 100% recommend!
Absolutely delicious food - small plates and tacos. All freshly made and tasty. Cracking margaritas as well. Friendly service. Small place so you might have to wait a bit, but it's well worth it. 100% recommended!

Revisited Summer 2023 - still just wonderful. A stunning range of freshly prepared dishes and drinks, including delicious margaritas. A word of caution for all - they are in danger of being TOO successful. Make sure sure you book (and so the place needs to make sure only one system is in use), and be ready to give up your table at the end of your allotted time. We had to wait nearly half an hour - but were then given a great table and our first drinks on the house. And the food? Do I have to repeat myself? Absolutely stunning!
Came here for lunch and the food was excellent. Had the cactus hash browns and the sweetcorn ribs which were amazing. As well as a couple of the tacos which were really good too. Unfortunately some of the dishes we wanted weren't available at lunch but we found other options. Margaritas were lovely too. Would definitely come here again!
Love their (new?) menu. Hadn't been for a while but the small plates they've added are great.
Birria or the oyster mushroom tacos were probably my favourite. Margaritas also very nice.
Welcoming warm, friendly service. The place is small but colourful. The cocktails were really lovely, so much so we had quite a few.
We had various tacos - pork belly & fish, which were both full of flavour upon each bite.
Sweetcorn ribs were awesome as were the Padron peppers and fritters.
We’d definitely go back.
