Fantastic food, caring service and great desserts. You can never go wrong with this place. My partner and I go there every time we’re in Brighton. Highly recommend the scallops and the Pannacotta. We always try to get a table with the waitress that speaks a little bit of French as she is the lovelie
Great food and great service. We had the hot platter and we were stuffed. Would recommend to anyone visiting and will definitely be going back on our next visit.
Brightons iconic fish restaurant English's is an institution and the food is delicious. I had the fish pie which was divine, beautifully presented, full of fish and flavour. Our group also thoroughly enjoyed the seabass and classic fish and chips. A must go destination for seafood and champagne.
Can't believe we haven't tried here all these years. Freshly cooked seafood, great quality and choices, prices are high end but worth it. Our server today, he was very polite and professional, made our dinning experience perfect. Highly recommended and will visit again.
Best seafood in Brighton!! I was blown away by the flavours coming from the seafood platter, the chef has done an incredible job at mixing simplicity with a bit of culinary genius to make some really exciting flavours. My personal favourite was the crab pot and the croquettes. The oysters were as fr
I recently dined at English’s of Brighton, located in the heart of the town center. While they don't offer on-site parking, there are convenient car parks nearby. The variety of starters, mains, and desserts impressed me, and the flavors lived up to expectations. The dishes were served promptly, and
We were greeted by a very polite man who actually spoke to us like human beings it was quite unusual in Brighton. We were then seated in a mirrored room by a very polite man then handed over to a nice lady. We went for the fixed summer menu and had calamari to start with then I had steak and my part
Very enjoyable lunch here. I had the set lunch, which was excellent value and very tasty. I loved the setting; old fashioned and elegant. Service was friendly and timing good. Fish and chips was as good as I hoped from a specialist fish restaurant. The pear eau de vie was a lovely touch.
My favourite place in the UK to visit for beautifully cooked fish. Worth a trip down to Brighton just for the experience. Somehow the chef manages to grill the Dover sole and plaice better than anywhere else. Both were absolutely wonderful. As were the enormous scallops. The side dishes are also
Lovely dinner here. The bill was just under £200 with 3 courses, bottle of wine and 2 glasses sparkling wine. The waitress was lovely and attentive. Only let down was the chocolate fondant, it was rock hard and when I asked the waitress if this is what it is supposed to be like, she said no and qui
Definitely worth a visit! We’re amazed by the panna cotta and the tuna steak. Oysters are also nice and fresh.
Really tasty and amazing!! It would be fabulous if there were more shrimps haha but definitely come back again
Great meal out in early evening. Lovely attentive waiter. Awesome seafood and fish dishes. Great local sparkling wine. All 3 courses were very tasty and I am sure we will go back. We ordered off A La Carte, but there was a really good value set menu.
Fabulous seafood, great service and tasty cocktails!
Without a doubt, a very refined restaurant with high degree of attention to details and taste. The lobster and the bass where not only perfectly cooked, but of very high quality as well. The restaurant location cannot be more central, and its decor is firmly placed in the 60s. Price-wise you're de
Hands down the best Oysters and sea food in Brighton. Great service and friendly staff! Amazing presentation and worth the price
I had one of the best dinners here. The food was great and delicious, they have a lot of different options 🤤 The service was 11/10. Very good! You can feel the level of the restaurant! Also, a special thank you to the waiter who let me take the blanket for a night as I was feeling a bit ill and obvi
The English's is an institution for fine food & wine. If you like your oysters, this place is a must. It's always a real treat to eat there- the service, the menu & atmosphere are superb. Locally sourced ingredients, the best place for seafood lovers. Each dish is delivered to perfection. Their stea
We went to dine there and they luckily had a table for us for 90 minutes as they were busy but that didn’t hinder the service nor the quality of food. This is the second time I go there and the food was so delicious. On the service part, I would like to thank Laura who was very attentive and greeted
