Had a roast there yesterday it was delicious. It's so nice visitings a pub that has fresh vegetables and proper roast potatoes in plenty to help yourself,
Not cooked in the deep fat frier from frozen, yep I've had a few of those. The Fox on the Downs a few pubs could learn from you.

What a lovely little pub. I was on a walk and stopped here as it was on my route. Great service. Lovely pint of IPA. A bit of seating out the front (and I think a bit downstairs but the door was closed). A decent food menu, too, but I didn't play that game.

The best Sunday carvery I have had anywhere. If you are visiting the area make sure to book a table as it is only served until its gone. Three meats to choose from(Gammon,beef,turkey or combination of the three) plenty of veg including colcannon mash all cooked up a great standard.

We hired the pub for my sisters wake.
Perfect location - close to Woodvale. Free parking across at the garden centre.
Lovely atmosphere, much more cosy and intimate than a lot of venues in the area.
Food was fantastic and a lot of it, service was superb. Catered for vegetarian guests and easy access for wheelchair users.
I highly recommend the Fox on the Downs for functions following a funeral. Well done .
