Hot bagels and good coffee served with a dose of happiness from the staff working here. Recommend this, and vegan options too.
Fantastic place, lovely coffee and selection. I had bacon in an onion bagel and it was just perfect. Set me up for the day. Friendly and helpful staff
Pretty damn awesome. Loved the upbeat loud guy behind the counter! I got someone else's bagel unfortunately, same insides but onion bagel instead of seeded. I didn't realise at first, just thought it had a funny taste. When I realised I tried to carry on eating it as I didn't want to make a fuss. But I really didn't like the onion so I had to either say something or go hungry. I plucked up the courage and said something in the end and they were fine with it, they got me the correct bagel. It was delicious so I'm glad I did have it changed. Gets rather busy in here but they still manage to serve everyone with speed, and especially for the happy guy... with a big smile 😎

I recently discovered that Bagelman has four lovely vegan options and decided to treat myself after my first day at a new job. The Brighton Station store was sold out of vegan bagels. So was the Bond Street store. When I got to the Duke Street store they had vegan bagels, but no veggie sausage - and I had my heart set on the vegan bagel with sausage, hashbrowns, mushrooms, and Gouda. I was happy to get a vegan BLT instead, but the wonderful man taking my order (I'm almost certain he was a manager) offered to run to the Bond Street store to get some veggie sausage. He said he needed to do it anyway, but I'm sure that he wouldn't have done it right that second if it weren't for my order. I was just blown away. Great service with an incredible attitude. The man who was managing the afternoon shift on 03/11 deserves a raise and a promotion and/or whatever his lovely little heart desires. (The rest of his team was fantastic, as well - a true reflection of their leader!) Plus the bagel was delicious.
I prefer this shop to the station.
One thing I will say is that the multi-tasking each server does slows down the line to a halt. Is it too hard to just have the server who talks to you just make your food?! My bagel was passed to 3 people and took ages!
The food is lovely though, the only reason I go back.

I've been a Bagelman fan for years! I particularly love this shop as the staff here are always amazing-it's a lovely place to sit and get a quick bite to eat in between shopping, or other events in Brighton. The bagels are fantastic and so fresh! I've even got my family hooked!
The best Bagles in town, no wait, in the U.K.!!! They have loads of varieties, you can mix and match your own, social style seating area with more upstairs. Coffee was also good quality. We visited on the morning after a night out, Will return first thing when I visit Brighton again!
Lovely friendly staff, let our dogs in and seemed to have a good vegan selection but also happy for our allergic daughter to eat her own food too. Couldn't ask for more. Food good too!
Been coming here for years but stopped due to a change in falafel recipe. Looks like they've gone back to the original falafel recipe without beetroot and the spicy taste is back, hopefully no yeast extract or palm oil, I'll find out in an hour if it does, as these ingredients cause me pain & inflammation. Very good staff always flexible on ingredients, good prices, oat milk tea in a pot enough for a few cups, lots if room upstairs for parties of people or on rainy days.
What a lovely place! Fell upon it after walking out of the pretentious choccywoccydoodah! Instantly made welcome by all staff. My daughter was very taken with the whistling man wearing a #appy t-shirt! Very apt! Never been to Bagelman before, but will again! Gorgeous food, relaxed atmosphere and lovely staff! Thank you! 💕💕😀😀
