Went for the basic classic breakfast.
The poached egg was perfectly cooked.. the rest was pretty standard but does what it says on the tin. The owners are friendly and attentive. Thanks.
Ala's Cafe is an absolute gem, gorgeous atmosphere and run by a lovely small team. Ala is always happy to go the extra mile for us, and makes the most perfect sandwiches and coffee every single time.
If you're lucky enough, you'll catch him when he's just freshly baked his baguettes - which I was today! Attached a picture of my usual lunchtime meal :)

Come here everytime we visit, alah is a really nice bloke, food is brilliant in here. Right next to Churchill Square, as everywhere small businesses have been struggling and this is seriously one that should not dissappear anytime soon. Good prices and the food 👌 😋. If I lived local I would visit weekly if not daily. Range of breakfast, lunch and coffee items, he caters for vegetarians and vegans. My partner had the brie and cranberry sandwich, according to her one of the best she's had. Fresh bread and lovely people, a lovely break to your shopping day.
My Wife and I popped in to grab something for lunch and a drink today.
My Wife had the homemade beer battered fish and chips, and I had the light breakfast of toast, scrambled eggs and bacon.
We had a very warm and friendly welcome, the food was excellent, and the portions substantial.
We thoroughly recommend ALA's Cafe
We will return again next time we are in the area.

This is my go to place !!! Amazing service and Amazing food ! Fresh ingredients! Fresh bread every morning ! (Try the seeded bread😋) hands down best breakfast/brunch in Brighton! Ohh I forgot fresh juice !!!!
The owner is phenomenal, the food is gorgeous and such good quality, plenty of options, including freshly squeezed orange juice right in front of your eyes. The coffee is perfectly rich and strong and with milk alternatives for the lack toes and toddler ants (lactose intolerant) peeps.
They now have regulars for life as every time we plan to visit Brighton this will be our number 1 stop for food and coffee.

We stopped for breakfast twice, the owner seems a nice friendly chap. I tried the light breakfast, it came with toasted farmhouse bread, scrambled eggs and bacon. Tasted great, bacon was perfect. The prices are some of the lowest in the area which is a bonus. Great latte too! The poached eggs on granary were lovely and so was the bacon and cheese baguette 😋
This will be our go to breakfast cafe from now on!
Lovely little place, very welcoming, reasonable prices. Really nice members of staff willing to have a friendly chat. Was very accommodating as both myself and my sister were a little picky and asked for a couple of things removed (tomatoes and beans). Nice little seating areas both indoors and out the front
