I love this pub! Firstly the drinks are well priced and well made, secondly they always have an amazing DJ on ( I think his name is Howard?) and lastly the bar staff and management are so friendly and welcoming I wanted to go back straightaway! My favourite place to party in Brighton by far �
Brilliant pub, found the door staff very friendly and funny to, great outside area and the music is to every taste it’s very entertaining, due to all these great things I thought it was going to be very expensive for drinks and it was very cheap, on a sunny day no where better
Suzuki-San is the OG master. Such a legend of the industry. Huge selection of bottles at very reasonable prices. Despite being such a small bar, almost every time I’ve visited over the years, even on a random mid-week day, I’ve bumped into whisky people I know from all around the world. Tokyo has a lot of great whisky bars, but I always make time for Mash Tun and Aloha.
The Chicken Burger was seriously the best burger I have ever had bar none! Not even joking. The crisp of the chicken, the honey glaze and combo with the mayo and relish was too good!
Really great pub, I’ve had the best nights in here and the staff are SO lovely. Especially this really fit 5’4 brunette who’s very loud… she’s a proper sort.
Best place for a night out in Brighton. The service here is unmatched and the vibes from the whole staff from doorman to manager was impeccable to say the least. I had the pleasure of dancing the night away along with the staff behind the bar and a bunch of other young people having a great time. Me and my friends greatly appreciate the warm smiles from the staff and the music from the dj as it set the tone for the night. Big shout out to Ama, Niamh, Aimee ,Hector and Bella. Nice variety of drinks available, friendly staff welcoming, nice small buzzy atmosphere however have to get there early in the night in order to get in without long queues. Bouncers are friendly and don’t have power issues which is a bonus for a big city.
Smashing little pub. Good selection of drinks, and reasonably priced for Brighton. Guinness was smooth, and the Red Stripe was refreshing. Brilliant outdoor seating area with a good atmosphere, ended up chatting to quite a few people sat out there. Staff were nice, my mate ended up with a free pint as they had to move a barrier and got in his way a bit, a really nice gesture. Urinals could do with some TLC, but aside from that no complaints, I'd highly recommend.

I bloody love the Mash Tun! Mainly for a night out because if I'm there I'm in it for the drinks and a fun time. The food cheap and unbelievably good for the price, but it is pretty standard pub food - definitely good to soak up alcohol if you need it.
Friendly staff and security who offered me pizza as it was my birthday! Barman notified us on the student deals which was nice. Good service, enjoyed the indie/pop music, good vibes. Would come back

Wow what an institution. Pub, bar, club it’s got it all. And some really good looking young men in there.
