Papa Pitta

This is the kind of quirky local pub that you might pop into for 'one or two' and end up chatting with the staff and regulars until closing time. Feels small and cosy due to the layout but has plenty of space, including darts downstairs and a garden. Good draught beers and knowledge staff to help you choose/ sample! They used to have a dj night that was all vinyl, blues/rock'n'roll, I hope this is still going.

Great Selection of beer and very friendly welcoming staff. Even made the gesture of giving us bottle of cider for free as they had messed up unbeknown to us. So for them to acknowledge that and give us that as gesture of good will when they didn't need to was quite refreshing. Will definitely be returning soon.

Great mixture of real ales on pump including some local brews. Nice crowd in here with eating upstairs in the bar area and downstairs too, and an outside patio area. Quiet part of town. But what really makes this something out of the ordinary is the food on offer! An open kitchen in the main bar area (Papa Pittas) serving up fresh Cypriot kebabs. Omg! What else could you want to go with a good pint? 24hr marinated chicken, pork or lamb beauties to order. Great selection of sides if you want something smaller, like sheftaliks, calamari, hummus, tadziki, tahini or fried potato slices. Amazing! Fantastic quality. We'll be making a point of coming back here even if we're not in the immediate area. Heaven.

Hanover has just lucked out with this new pub opening. Loads of great beer, porter and stouts. Staff are really helpful in finding a beer you’ll love. Really passionate about what they serve, especially if you’re pairing it with the in house Cypriot kebabs run by Papa Pitta! Oh my days that’s a brilliant pairing in its self. Three nights on the trot we’ve gone for dinner and it’s bloody tasty. Great pub. Good food and even better beer. This could be dangerous 5 mins from my front door :)
