Really lovely pub, been a couple times and wasn’t sure if it was dog friendly but when I turned up with my huge black lab on a busy Friday night they were totally doggy friendly and welcomed him with open arms bringing him a bowl of water as soon as we sat down! Very impressed it’s so nice to find somewhere that allows the dog and does nice drinks I love the weekly special Gins

Visited for first time to watch Melissa and Reece (Jazz duo). A party of 3, we all had roast dinners which were delicious. The staff were all very friendly and the pub had a very relaxed and friendly feel. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and we will definitely visit again.

Popped in here Tuesday evening for a quick drink and ended up staying a lot longer !!!! The Gin choice is amazing so I was in heaven . The staff were knowledgeable and friendly . Ordered a couple of chowders off the menu which were delicious and as those winter nights draw in will be absolutely perfect.. will definitely go again as I've seen they now serve Sunday roast.

OMG!! I was told to visit this place by a friend, I was thinking it was a football related pub...thankfully I was surprised. I walked in and saw a nice bar set up with some interesting beers and spirit on display. If you like GIN then this is your place. A massive selection of great Gins all for a respectable price. I thoroughly enjoyed a couple of nice G&T's and then devoured a nice bag of crisps. The decor is one to be seen - always something to talk about. Nice little smoking area and clientele were friendly to chat to. Gonna be my new Thursday after work pub....maybe Monday Tuesday and Wednesday to haha

Stumbled across this gem of a pub by random and it's now one of my favourites in Brighton and Hove. Excellent vibes, especially during the fortnightly pub quiz. The staff are wonderful and there's always a great selection on tap!

The jerk chicken roast is delicious; everything perfectly cooked, but the spice puts a unique slant on Sunday roast. The vegan wellington was fantastic, not a second rate option as it can be. All the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, the atmosphere and music made this a perfect afternoon, thanks all x

I was in Brighton for 9 days, and found myself returning to this lovely pub, 3 times! The food was so top notch tasty. Great vibe, friendly service, great gin selection. Attracts a nice crowd as well. If I lived here, it would be my local for sure!

Favourite place for Sunday roast. Great atmosphere specially the Live Jazz band. Delicious food and great service. Having a reservation in the evening is a must to avoid disappointment.

'This modern-refurbished Laine chain pub gives a nod to England's traditional Gin palaces' I discovered a bright, kid-friendly, modernised, open plan, hipster focused establishment at the Old Albion. The chalk-written beer wall nicely highlights the beer options above a neat row of taps, however just because it’s written in chalk the options will most likely be focussed on Laine produce given that this is a Laine Pub Co establishment now. If beer’s not your thing then the pub is now ‘gin obsessed’, according to their website, with more than 20 gins available. Well it is Hove after all. Please visit the BrightonBeerBlog site for extended reviews and handy pub finder tool

Friendly staff and great roast. Been here a few times for a drink, this time tried their roasts and I was impressed. The prices ranged up to £15 for the beef, plenty on non-meat options if that's your want and in general all very good value. The food itself was good, the beef was particularly tasty, veg was good but slightly firm, yorkshire was good size but not perfect and I'd have liked more gravy (it was very tasty). Overall I definitely recommend it here

What a find! Recently refurbished by a management team with a penchant for fairy lights (in all the right ways). The beers are good, local and plentiful. The ginventory is extensive and most importantly, the Sunday roast is difficult to finish and quite remarkable. While macadamias in the delicious vegan nut roast. Lamb shank falling off the bone and fresh mint sauce. Our new fav local.
