Forget all the seafront tourist traps. Go one street up from the seafront in Kemptown and you will find the best chippie in Brighton, without exception.
Went there and had the absolute best time. My best friend and I got a fish and chips to eat on the beach, it was legendary. Everything is made in front of your eyes and the team is super sweet.
The food quality is through the roof, and the shop it itself is super super cute.
shout out little jack! Recommend to anyone, tourists looking for a good one or locals in need for a top tier fish and chips in Brighton
I googled best fish and chips in Brighton near us and we discovered this take out. Reasonable prices, special price for OAP at only £4.50. I ordered large cod £8.50 and small chips £1.95 (pictured)
Service was fast and staff were lovely!
Came back to Brighton a year and a half later and went straight for lunch here again. Definitely the best fish and chips tried in Btown and lovely little business. Everything is cooked to order right in front of you and quite often there’s a little queue, which confirms its popularity. The staff in there are funny and nice and the fish tastes fresh and flaky, cooked so nicely in the batter. The batter and chips are proper and crispy and not too oily like some places. They’ve also got veggie options which is really cool!
11/10 would recommend 😊
It’s a very small place so not much space to stay but fish and chips by the sea is the way to go; just watch out for Brighton’s famous seagulls 😜😅
My boyfriend and I had the meal deal haddock and chips, rock and chips and white bait yesterday. The homemade tartare sauce was delish and honestly can say that this was the best fish and chips I've had! Would Def make the trip down to Brighton for it again. Was craving some good white bait and it hit the spot for sure 👌 the chips were cooked exactly how we like it too.thank you
The best fish and chips I’ve had to date. Delicious batter and fish, beautifully cooked chips and outstanding beer battered onion rings. The cherry on top is the lovely and caring staff.
Descent fish and chips, among the best options I have tried so far in the UK although it’s still soaking in fat. The fish inside was tender and not dry. The chips were okayish. The sauce was not very good since it was rather sour. What’s nice is that you can select size of fish and chips independently. Medium fish and medium chips are enough for two hungry people in my opinion. If I were to order there once again, I’d select small chips and medium/large fish
It was great to visit and have your food. The fish and chips are amazing and absolutely delicious with your homemade tartar sauce, it's a fabulous combination. The atmosphere was love . Moreover, the staff are friendly and helpful with great service. (Sorry, I forgot to take your fish and chips picture, it smelled good and it made me very greedy😋😋)
Me and friend were in Brighton for the day and we’re both vegan so checked this place out. Very welcoming atmosphere thanks to the staff. There were many interesting vegan options, I went for the tofu one which was okay but think I’d try something else next time. Paid extra for vegan tartar sauce which was very nice
Great little shop a short walk from the sea front. Ordered 3 of the £5.50 lunch deals, cod, haddock and banana blossom. All tasted great and the sauces were fab too.
Not the fastest service but all cooked fresh and piping hot so worth the wait.
Service was friendly.
No indoor seating but there are a few tables outside.
Lovely little gem of a place, the kind of place we find by chance while travelling.
We had a cheap meal deal, with a smaller fish, that was perfect for lunchtime.
I love the little spoons too!
Although I'm not a big fan of the curry.
I will return if I'm down south again.
