We had breakfast. I had the black pudding waffle which I highly recommend, although portions could be larger across the board. The beef and potato dish was a bit dry, it needs some kind of sauce to balance out how salty it is too. I would go again but strongly advise people not to order anything off the menu - my colleague wanted eggs on toast and ended up paying 7-8 quid for something very mediocre. The Great playlist of minor swing and 1950s library tunes.

One of my fav places in Brighton. Great location, right in the thick of it and it has a very good menu, wine selection. There is now a roof terrace which is lovely on sunny days. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Recommended.

The current chef team have yanked this pleasant wine bar with above adverage food to being one of the best evening restaurants in the city. we had 3 courses each 2 stunning cheeseboards and the food bill was only £35 each. You could easily eat here for less. If your a foodie and enjoy dishes and flavours youve never had you will love this.

Went in there earlyish on a Friday (10am or so) and was the first in I think! Spoke to Alex, a very friendly chap who got the chefs to make me what I'd consider a quality homegrown breakfast. Lot of locally sourced ingredients, including the best in-house baked beans I've ever had. After a night out drinking with close friends and family, was just the thing I needed to get me back to health. Only a few turns away from my uncle's place of work too. Certainly somewhere I'd visit again! Alex recommended their wine cellar, which for a place of that size is extensive and helpfully grouped by region on the tasting menu. That's something for future visits...

Recently refurbed with a new chef at the helm this place is outstanding. Attentive service, local ingredients, outstanding brunches. I look forward to trying their new tasting menu which launches in July apparently. Best breakfast/ brunch I have had for a while and a great addition to the North Laine in Brighton

Great food and really awesome for a group of 12. Service was amazing and I was happy to see that the wait staff was willing to describe the plethora of wines in greater detail.

Absolutely amazing food! Had the scallops and carpaccio for starters. Both plates were licked clean. Also opted for the duck main and it was one of the best meals of my lifetime. The wine was also incredible. Highly recommend this little gem!

Had an amazing breakfast here this saturday! They have a champagne breakfast offer with a glass and a breakfast for only 15 quid. The eggs were cooked perfectly and a nice combination with bacon and avocado. Staff was really kind and friendly and the atmosphere in the whole place is cozy and inviting. Would recommend to everyone!

5 * for this gem. Staff great, attentive good sense of humour, and happy to serve. Food - had a burger with cheese and bacon, it was delicious. Ambience was beautiful and quirky, nice touch with bottle corks. Many more details than what I can mention here. Blue moon beer was served chilled. Cleanliness - from what I could see it looked clean.
