Really friendly lady that serves. I don't like eggs so she happily swapped it for another sausage. Highly recommend trying this place which is almost opposite the Lion and Lobster. Not the best breakfast ever but a good breakfast and great value at just £5 which included a cup of tea
Cannot recommend this café enough, the lady that runs it is so lovely and talkative, the food is by far the best breakfast we've ever had, piping hot when it arrives, so fresh and delicious. A real character of a café. Will definitely be returning
So much well cooked food for great value! Not to mention the friendly and fast service.
It's always good to have a go to cafe for breakfast and now I've got mine for Brighton! 😁 Will definitely be returning in the future.
This is definitely an old school cafe. If you like a good hearty breakfast to start your day and you're staying nearby - visit this place. They do a a great set breakfast which includes a fried slice (which I had never had before) and it was lovely and it's a great starting point for the day. They also do bacon sandwiches, sausage sandwiches and other breakfasts / sandwiches too.
You'll find locals in there, builders who are working nearby on visit and general visitors staying nearby will pop in too. The lady who runs it is extremely friendly and helpful. I would imagine it gets busy at certain times, but definitely ample room to sit down and have a good breakfast or a tea and coffee.
Cash only - no credit / debit cards accepted. Hours are in the range of - 8.00am / 8.30am until 2.00pm (check online first)
Cute and local eatery in Brighton.
If you are in Brighton and looking for breakfast you should stop here.
The breakfast was £6.50 including a drink. See photo for food.
The fried bread was delicious, which I have not eaten since I was a little girl. And the bacon was nice a thick cut.
The lady who served us was a lovely and friendly, and an overall delight.
