Fantastic and substantial Sunday roast in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Great drinks, games for the kids to keep them occupied and a toasty fire. Couldn’t be happier. Thank you :-) we will be back
Lovely pub with great staff food was excellent large portions with good value
It was the weekend before the Labour Party Conference, and Mr. Corbyn had finished speaking at a local rally about 15 minutes before we arrived, so the bar was packed. As my wife and I desperate for a snack, we considered ourselves very lucky to get a small table to ourselves. Great beer, but the food, pork croquettes (or were they rissoles?) and scotch egg were a little on the expensive side. Tasty, though. Despite being very busy, service was surprisingly efficient, the bar staff being very precise about who had arrived at the bar in what order.
Fantastic food. Everybody happy. Our eleven year old, teenager and all of the adults thoroughly enjoyed the food. Perfectly cooked, unfussy service, good wine all at a good price and in a lovely pub garden. Can't wait to go back.
A pub in a residential street will not have the busy atmosphere you'd expect from the likes of pubs in the lanes, but that won't distract from a seriously great experience. With friendly staff and great food, it's more than worth a visit if you're in the area.
Lovely atmosphere, Visited this lively local pub for a language meetup and found it charming. I didn't try the beer (driving) but reliably informed it's very good.
The pork belly must be one of the best roasts in Brighton! Aranchini balls & Mac n Cheese were good too.
Nice friendly pub, brought up to date and run by nice folks. Can't comment on the food, I haven't tried it.
I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the food. I had the calamari which was lovely baby squid. We also had the whitebait, smash burger and mac n cheese. It was a really lovely meal and staff were friendly. I will definitely be going back again.
A nice little pub. Staff are friendly. I work for Hall & Woodhouse but in the managed house division, so it’s nice to see a Partnership house. They seem to have a nice crowd of regulars but are more than welcoming to anyone. My friend loves Leffe which is one of the reasons we visit!
