Tried this place whilst visiting the area. I normally look at the latest " Scores on the Door" Health & Safety rating before I visit a new restaurant, but this time I forgot. So I did look at it after being seated. Was a bit shocked that they got a Zero on their October 2022 inspection, but it turned out that they were inspected again about a week later and got a 5 Star. To be honest, if I did not find that 5 Star new rating, I would have left, because I will never eat in a restaurant with a Zero rating. Anyway, food and staff were nice. They probably need more knowledge about wine. Also could not understand why when we finished our bottle of wine, they could not give us a glass of wine !!

Good value food with moderately priced alcohol. Got the gammon which was great for the price we paid. Friendly bartenders and generally nice staff and atmosphere.
Great food, affordable prices, and great service. 3 things I hardly ever get together from any of my locals! Great to see the guys back and under new ownership. Spent little over £80 they gave me a free vegetable main dish and 2 pilaw rice which was nice of them, as we won’t say no to free food. Overall food was good and consistent with flavour delivery waiting was one hour but I prefer the honesty instead of me chasing up constantly so thank you guys. Will spread the word that you guys are back !!!
Delicious food, I enjoyed the chilli garlic vegan chicken while my husband had the lamb karahi. We also got some delicious veggie starters but were too full for desert! Portions great, service excellent and atmosphere welcoming. Highly recommend
First time going back here as I noticed it’s under new management on my way home, Ordered last week and the food came on time and was piping hot and fresh. Great taste and value so when I got back some change I couldn’t believe it, and they gave a free veg side dish with the order (spent about £30 roughly) to say thank you for a first order so that was a touch!!! Will keep on coming back let’s all support our local
I visited sea of spice to pick up a takeaway and was very impressed.
The restaurant part was very clean and and nicely decorated, i ordered my food from a very polite man behind the counter,
While I was waiting for my food to be cooked another customer came in to pre order some food for what i assume to be a party a few days later, the man serving him was more than happy to accommodate this order for him and the customer was very happy. I then recieved my food a short time after and l left. The food was perfect everything was as I had ordered and perfectly cooked. I will defently put this place on my go to list for the future. Good food, good restaurant and great service. Well done.
I love my curry’s and have to say this place is so far the Best curry in the whole of Brighton.
I have tried many of them, yet this one is the only place that is consistently Great.
The only place that does a Madras or Vindaloo as it is meant to be- Hot. Too many places down south have a madras or vindaloo with No heat and just mild.
First time with the new owners. Food was wonderful, really well spiced and good quality ingredients. Generous servings. So happy this favourite local restaurant is going from strength to strength.
We had a takeaway a couple of nights ago, the food was absolutely delicious, we all really enjoyed our meal.
The staff are very helpful and friendly and love the new menu....would certainly recommend!
