Great location on the seafront. Lovely food expertly prepared and served with care. Tempura prawns lovely but big! So if you’re having a starter, don’t over order. Fish perfect, and steak amazing. We had rib-eye medium rare. Staff all very attentive. But due to popularity book a table early we missed the first slot on Saturday but managed to get a table on Sunday. Enjoy!
Amazing meal. The level of service was sublime. Our waiters knowledge for both the food and drink he was serving was excellent. Staff we all extremely courteous. The selection of seafood was particularly good and its matched. Great location on the seafront. We were sat outside and I would have appreciated the offer of the heater above us being turned on because I arrived without a cover up or cardigan and felt uncomfortably chilly until the breeze dropped.
Oysters to start which were small but tasty and great Bloody Mary’s. We all went for the “Sharing Sunday” menu which is basically surf n turf. Really enjoyed the asparagus salad. Steak was nicely cooked although a bit under seasoned. Pea & broad bean salad was tasty but the crispy potatoes were okay. Needed a bit more cooking. Wish the seafood portion was more generous as it was only one prawn and scallop each. Had a bite of the Eton mess which was very tasty. We had two bottles of wine. Really friendly staff. I’d like to go again and try more seafood options.
The sourdough bread with lobster butter was an amazing starter. For mains we ordered grilled brill and it was fresh and delicious, this also came with sides of the garlicky potatoes and pea salad which were also top notch. We celebrated our mum's birthday here and brought our own cake, which they kindly kept for us until the end of the meal. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.
Another amazing restaurant in Brighton, especially if you love fish. Excellent wine choices. Again like it's sister restaurant the Coal shed it's not cheap but you are getting quality food and service here. Need to book. Staff were excellent and we will return.
Recently discovered this gem in Brighton and can't wait to be back. The food was just delicious and the service was perfect, our waitress gave us great Orange wine reocmmandation. Every dish was full of flavour and perfectly balanced! Cannot recommend enough 🧡
A great find. All the staff were very friendly especially Ben and Sarah. We had a lovely lunch - the brill was…brilliant !
This is clearly a very well run restaurant, good wine list, good cocktails, excellent menu selection, clean toilets.
Wonderful views of the sea and dog friendly!
We’ll be back soon.
If you love fish and you are in Brighton you should not miss the Salt room! Amazing food and service from beginning to the end!
Just a day out or a celebration, you found the perfect place!
We were blessed with amazing weather this weekend which paved the way for a beautiful view, excellent seafood, knowledgeable staff and service.
We ordered the oysters, battered prawns, fish special which was a sea bream filleted Infront of us, and a seafood platter which had up happy as clams! All the food from the main events to the ceaser salad and potatoes were incredible. I will definitely bring my partner here because he got major food envy! Thank you to all the staff!
My party were at the front window of the restaurant, but at the very end of the room so we never had staff or diners walking by our table. The food was shared by all in my group. We had cocktails and prawns to start, then the tuna sashimi was exquisite. The fish was amazing, cod, lemon sole and monkfish. We shared potatoes in garlic and minted green vegetables Which burst with minty freshness. We tried desert wines with deserts of salted caramel chocolate bar and the Salt Room Sweets. Altogether a beautiful experience.
