Having queued at a restaurant just along from this one for twenty minutes only to be told they had run out of food, this was the next eatery along the front. We received a nice welcome from the waitress and ordered. A large fresh cod and plate of chips £6.95. Bargain, in my book. The lunch was well cooked and was served within 10 minutes. If there is a better bargain than this along the seafront in Brighton, I would be amazed. Really pleased that the original choice ran out of food.
Inside and outside tables, the outside seating is almost on the beach, lovely views of pier and beach. Staff very friendly and very busy. Fish tasted fresh, the portions were large and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. There were sea gulls looking for food as usual and we did see one swoop and grab a chip from a plate while people were still sitting at the table so be aware
I haven’t visited Bella Italia/pasta for over 10 years as my last experience was horrible. Whilst in Brighton my partner suggested we go there for dinner. I was tad hesitant but opted to go. I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere and food was really good. The restaurant was full but we never felt as if we were being rushed to finish our meal. If I visit Brighton again I would definitely go back.
