We visited the Sportsman on Saturday afternoon for both food and drinks.
The staff were excellent, really friendly and helpful. The standard of the food, both the carvery and other food items was very good indeed and the drinks were top quality too.

We ordered Traditional Carvery and I rate them 5 ⭐️. The beef; gammon and Turkey were freshly roasted. And unlimited vegetables to pair with! The only downside is that the restaurant/pub interior. Needs to be redecorated?! But otherwise, the service and the staff were great!
Carvery was amazing today so nice and fresh and loved the pork. Leah was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed.

I have visited The Sportsman twice the this week. Over the two nights Jonathan and Sean were great with Tasha working hard on both nights. Very welcoming to us and our 2 dogs. Great atmosphere - great food - will definitely visit again!!!!!

The food looked fresh and was topped up! There was everything we needed! We were welcomed in and my daughter even had a contest with the manager to who could suck a lime better and she won, it was very funny!

We booked a table for 9 people for my daughters birthday and we weren't disappointed. We were made to feel extremely welcome and every need eas catered for. The staff were great and food was really good. Overall it was a pleasant experience and we would definitely book again.
Only one word I can think of to describe this place where you can get delicious food, good value for money and watch the footie and not feel like an out of place loser and that word is gorg-tastic

Ate here with my friend and had the carvery unfortunately at 735pm there was no ham, very little beef, no pigs in blankets but the turkey was lovely!
Despite this hiccup the staff themselves were apologetic and helpful even bringing us a freshly cooked bowl of pigs in blankets once they cooked some

Well, well, well where do I start. Last nights experience at the sportsman Stonehouse was a particularly good one. I was greeted with a smile and the service was impeccable, especially Sophie, she was very polite and helpful. Couldn't have asked for more out of a server.
