Stillwater Grill - Brighton

An average all around restaurant. There is nothing particularly amazing or bad about this restaurant. The atmosphere is forgetable, not really feeling modern or vintage. It was clean enough and smelled okay. The staff and service were also average. Some of the staff were kind while others just seemed to not like their jobs. We luckily got a good server who kept our drinks toppped off. The food is a bit of a let down though. The salad didn't have the crunch of freshness and the pasta was very unwhelming. It was by no means inedible. However, when you think you're getting a roasted veggie pasta, I would expect a lot more than a few random chops of mushroom. Overall, I would only go back if a client asked me to and would not go out of my way to go back.

We have been coming here for over 15 years and they have earned 5 stars. The food, service, atmosphere, has remained great and consistent. How many restaurants can say that over the course of 15 years. Whether it is date night, family dinner, or brining out of town guests - you can’t go wrong. We sat at the bar and started with the Artichoke Dip & Tortilla Chips - sooo good especially the salty warm chips. We had the Ribeye with Brussel Spouts and Cajun Steak Tips and Mashed Potatoes (wish we would have gotten a pic). When we lived out this way a decade ago, we would come here often. It has been ages and what at great feeling to know some things are as good as you remember.

We had a party of 10 and it went off without a hitch. They were ready when we arrived, no wait. The waiter was top notch drinks, apps and then dinner. Nice selection of signature drinks that we all enjoyed. The food was great we mostly had the fish, crab stuffed salmon and white fish. The first review i saw sort of paned the place, not sure why? You should try it out.

We ended at Stillwater, we were 5 kids and 3 adults, hostess said it will be maybe 15 min.. i said no problem... Less than 10min. we got our table. They were very friendly and happy to serve... Food was great ... Kids had burgers and noodles. Burgers were very good. Ribs, steak and scallops were spectacular!

Second time coming here, the first time we walked out because the host, some young punk kid was rude unpleasant and unfriendly to us (the customer) additionally told us it was a 30-minute wait when there was clearly 10 to 15 tables open. We went back again last night ...it's been a while, same rude unfriendly and unpleasant host staff kid and older gal. We endured through it and sat at the bar, ended up getting a table. David was our server/bartender he was great, funny and attentive....Made us feel welcomed, our food was good. First impressions are just that and everlasting, management needs to take care of their host staff, nothing turns a customer off more than walking in the door to a bunch of sour faces..... have them Shadow David for a night maybe they'll figure it out.
