Yellowfin Seafood & Grill

Ordered oysters as an entree and market fish of the day, hotplate and the beef ragu for the main. It took way over an hour for our food to be served even though there had been little to no people in the restaurant. Food looked nice, but the taste was very average. Out of all the restaurants in that strip by South Bank, this place was one of the quietest. Overal, average restaurant with average food. Was looking forward to a better experience :/

Nice place that predominantly serves seafood. We ordered chips and pasta in addition to the seafood platter. The seafood was grilled in a lot of olive oil, which I didn’t mind but my companion, not so much. The chips had the right crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. The pasta was al dente 👍 but the dish tasted bland. Service was average but not unpleasant. I got to see the fairy lights switch on as the sun set, which was pretty. I liked the experience overall.

After reading fantastic review my husband has booked this restaurant for Wednsday dinner. Service was friendly and helpful. Great list of drinks and nice foods menue. As we did come for seafood we did listen carefuly and have choosed our seafood from suggestions. Unfortunately I have to say, with big sadness foods have disappointed us. Chargrilled octopus tentacles have been not chargrilled but rather in chilli sauce. Hot seafood platter, not worth $47. If they at least addled some chips to it, maybe you can say it was ok. We had order turkish bread to compliment this meal. Fish of day was burramandy and it was the best of all. Please note every single meal above had the same base ( with finely choped apple) and sauces, so all have tasted same. I think is not worth money paid.

My husband brought me here for date night, we had such a wonderful evening. The wait staff were fabulous, very prompt with their service and friendly. The food didn't take long at all and was quite the site! (We ordered the lobster and bug share platter) I've never had seafood at a restaurant before so this was all new to me. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The bugs were beautiful and lobster divine. I'm not a fan of cold prawns, but everything else was great. I would love to see an option for hot prawns in a nice creamy garlic sauce 😍 Happy to come back and recommend!!
