Banter Coffee House

Most importantly GREAT COFFEE. The perks of Banter Coffee House are in the details. You're getting restaurants perks at a place focused on quality coffee! - No asking for salt and pepper it's on every table - Water jug delivered to you (enough water for multiple cups woohoo!) - Plenty of seating but also a fair amount of space between each table (Could concentrate on my own convos) - Great walls around the coffee house so you don't feel like you're in a carpark at all (even @8:30am rush hour) Personal experience: I came at peak morning rush and was dining in. I got told to take a seat and someone would take my order. I was served water and table was set, but 20mins went by and no one came to take my order. It seemed to happen to another table as well. So overall I wasn't blown away by the customer service experience, but in saying that it wasn't the staffs attitude, just attention to service at a busy period. When I went up to speak with staff and order they were friendly.

This has been our favourite Cafe for years and we have frequently visited, but sadly the new staff/management have made the experience negative so consistently recently that we've decided not to come back. All the new & very young staff seem miserable, our orders are consistently incorrect or mixed up, and the straw that broke the camels for us back was being told off for picking up our dog because it's "unhygienic". Simply put, the staff aren't nice to be around, and are very disorganised. Its tragic what's happened to this place, but the food is still good. I hope it bounces back one day.

Very good cafe! The staff were run off their feet and still had excellent service. We had to wait for some tables to clear but that only took a couple of minutes. The coffee was delicious and the food was quite nice. I had the ‘stacks on!’ (vegetarian option - they swap bacon for 1 mushroom). I would have liked to have a bit more than 1 mushroom for the price. The outside area is nothing flashy but is comfortably spaced, which makes the experience enjoyable and doesn’t feel like you’re sharing the table with the people next to you. I’ll definitely be back to try some other meals!
