I came here recently to try out this place as I saw the reviews and I've been meaning to try it out for a while. I was one of the first customer so the place was neat and tidy. I took the opportunity to take a few pictures of the restaurant layout and it did have a very unique and artistic ambience. I saw there were a lot of reviews on the crab combo so thought I'd give that a try. There were many different kinds of crabs and seafood including king crab, spanner crab, sand crab, blue swimmers, Moreton Bay bug, mussels and prawns. While there were definitely different types of crabs and seafood, I felt the portion sizes weren't really filling enough, especially when you consider the this is a share plate and the size of spanner crabs, sand grabs and blue swimmers aren't very large. The combo does come with bread, potatoes, and a drink. The seafood was not the most fresh but was still okay. I saw online that the normal price for the crab combo was $180. I came when there was a promotion and the crab combo was reduced to $120. Put it this way, I wouldn't pay the normal price for the combo. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of eating crabs as it's pretty messy even when you're given gloves and all the necessary accessories to break through the crab's shell. I'm sure there are plenty of crab fans who'd enjoy this meal. It is still worth a try.

Amazing food - beautiful seafood chowder and chicken pasta… but just as amazing was the service. We had a cranky 1yo, and they went out of their way to help us enjoy our dinner. We had ordered takeaway but they set us up outside so we could eat there, food was so quick, well priced and delicious.. and all done with really genuinely friendly service. We appreciate this at the best of times let alone as stressed out parents with hungry little kids!! Thank you so much!

We ordered the crab boil platter ($139) which had the variety of crab and had the Singapore chilli sauce. The sauce lacked any flavour and we were glad we ordered the shebang sauce on the side. The crabs all came out cold, they also had forgotten the prawns (you only get 2) so we had to ask for them halfway through. Thankfully they came out hot and we’re probably the nicest thing on the plate. The crab didn’t taste fresh at all. The truffle fries were ok. The staff seemed clueless and the young male server was not very knowledgeable and kept disappearing not bringing menus etc. Would not recommend. Was very disappointed given the great reviews, definitely wouldn’t return

St James crabhouse deliver a magnificent seafood flavor and one of a kind magic with there sauce. We order a king crab and seafood chowder and it is totally amazing flavor. King crab one of the best in town with Baltimore sauce that blend and mouth watering delicious that I ever experience. A massive excellent perfect recipes to the chef bravo bravo bravo magnificent. And all the staff very accommodating, friendly and lovely caring service . We will surely be back that is for sure together with our friends and family . It is a wonderful amazing seafood restaurant. WE LOVE IT SO MUCH ❤️❤️❤️
