Myo Make Your Own

This was my go-to place for a sandwich and coffee a dozen years ago, when I worked in the Brisbane CBD. So, it's nostalgic to visit MYO whenever I'm in town. Then, as now, pleasant ladies staff the counter and bring made-to-order coffee to wherever you are sitting. I enjoy sitting outside on MYO's big terrace. Those dozen years ago, there was a guy named Owen who seemed to be the lowest level employee. Owen was, in fact, the hard-working owner. Now, judging from my 19 October 2018 receipt (AUD$12.70 for a generously filled sandwich and cappuccino), MYO seems to be in the hands of a Chinese firm, WEIWEI INTERNATIONAL. Well, but just like the old days, my make-your-own sandwich was enough for lunch and supper. Attached picture shows my meal, receipt, and a copy of the Courier-Mail, from a rack of reading material available to all MYO patrons.

This is the first time I have ever bothered to post, and with good reason. No food left at 1pm, just scraps. The server was just plain rude and abrupt. If you want a seinfeld soup kitchen experience, then go for it.. If you want to be treated like a valued customer, or at least with some dignity then avoid! Honestly, not worth your time or money... I would give 0 rating if possible... NEVER again 23/01/19
