Bare Naked Bowls

Pretty good spot to tuck into a nutritious bite to eat and delicious beverage. An extention of Toowong Pharmacy and Whole life foods it's convenient to shopping and stopping to appreciate the area once you're stocked up. I got the Turmeric Latte and apple cake (GF) and my partner got a vegetarian pie and coffee. He's not a vegetarian by a long shot and neither am I, but the pie was definitely delicious. The hot drinks are generous portions and beautifully presented. Service could do with a bit more effort in terms of acknowledging customers but was adequate. Pretty happy overall.

I loved my first few times here and staff are always lovely. However, the blender, an integral part of this business, only works intermittently now. We and other customers got refunds after waiting half an hour for the blender to revive. The staff are trying their best to provide good service in a dysfunctional business. Also, we made it clear 2x that we were eating in, yet 2x items were subsequently served in single use containers. Not very conscious. The brekkie bowls are still delicious though.

We waited 40mins for our açai and my bowl was a quarter filled with very minimal toppings with fruit cut and presented poorly. Açai is like soup. It is the young girl with brown hair who has been snobby to me and made terrible bowls in the past that made mine and this is the second time it has been this terrible. I usually love this acai bowl place in Toowong.

The food is really nice but im very concerned about the lack of gloves and hand washing. I usually order delivery but today I popped in to order and watched the server handle payments with the public then help prepare my bowls with bare hands and no washing. The guy making the bulk of the food also had no gloves, perhaps washed his hands out of sight? At a minimum shouldn't they be wearing food safe gloves? Honestly not sure I'd go back because of this sorry guys.
