Golden Pagoda

The snow squall on Saturday had an unintended benefit for me. I got stuck at the pet shop in whiteout conditions and decided that, instead of heading west into the Storm, I headed east to the golden pagoda for dinner. I've been there a long time ago and boy was I glad to go today. It is officially my favorite Asian restaurant in Bristol. Everything from appetizers to a combination plate was absolutely excellent. I can't wait to go back.

very small and expensive dishes, the attention is good but the receipt is very small and uncomfortable to order, they do not let you enter the restaurant not even to order, the truth is that it seems very terrible to me since part of the grace of going to a restaurant is the environment apart from the taste, I do not recommend it under any circumstance, it is preferable to ask for an app and incidentally to another restaurant that is not this one

Overall best chinese in my area. Their pork fried rice is the best flavored around. I love their boneless spare ribs. They make it with red sauce like the NY style that I'm used to. They are a bit more pricier but you get what you pay for. Combination plates are smaller than most places so if you want to get the most bang for your buck I suggest you stick to ordering pints if you're going to try here.

Golden Pagoda is a welcome change from the innumerable terrible Chinese restaurants in the area (save a few others of note, but, let's face it, you don't put cabbage in fried rice). The service was amazing with just the right amount of table time from the server/owner. He made us laugh and was super friendly. The food was amazing, and all those comments about the delicious hot and sour soup are correct. It was freaking amazing. The chili prawns were also wonderful. We will be back there this Sunday with a friend, and I am already deciding what I want when I just ate there an hour ago. It was really that good. The crab rangoons were intense and the scorpion drink was great.
