Outback Steakhouse

We had a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner yesterday evening, and our server Andrea was a delight. Having been in the industry for 10 years, I know that great servers are hard to find. She did an amazing job all around! We took advantage of the 4 course special and we were very pleased with the meal as well. I like my steak cooked rare and it’s difficult to find places that can do it just right. This establishment should be very proud of it’s staff.

I know everyone is short handed and I get that. However, after waiting 30/40 minutes after ordering one entree that my daughter and I was sharing (bloom fried chicken, broccoli, and steakhouse Mac and cheese) and it arrived cold. We asked for ranch dressing (when we placed ordered) and did not get it and finally after asking again we got it 15 minutes later. Chicken was to cold to eat at that point. No point in saying anything, I did not have another 30-45 minutes to wait. It was not that busy, it was on a Tuesday around 4). Never got a refill on our drinks (which we was empty by the time their food got there) and had to go ask for a to go box at bar (for chicken). This is the second meal like these I have gotten there. It will be awhile before I eat at Outback again. One entree and two drinks (no refills), bill after tip was $30. As a business owner I would say, do not seat people that you don’t have enough waiters or waitresses to accommodate. It is not fair to anyone!! If you are wondering, yes I tipped my waitress a little more then 20%. I know people are just trying to survive. However, I would rather be told it is a 20/30 minute wait and have my food hot or even warm to eat.
