Finally got around to travelling to the Beehive to try out their famous milkshakes and was not disappointed. We had the Biscoff weekly special, and the 'Custard Queen' pictured below. Absolutely delicious and unique. Cost £17.90 for two milkshakes but considering this is a rare treat I think the price befits the experience. Will return again on a special occasion.

Beehive is a lovely cafe in Downend. We seemed to have arrived just at the right moment as a large queue formed waiting for tables after we sat down. I had a English breakfast and my daughter has a Nutella freakshake. Both reasonably priced and the fryup was also reasonably tasty. The milkshakes seemed to be the most popular here.

So we found this place due to their incredible freakshakes on Instagram Location It's on the outskirts of the centre in a small arcade of shops. We found parking on the road fairly easy but can imagine that parking could be an issue. I would say overall it was easy to find and was located in a nice area. Interior This place is loved. It is very clear that the team take pride in their workspace. I found the cafe to be clean and the batista area is organised and often cleaned during the day. The decor is lovely and the toilets were well kept. The sign behind the counter is a very nice piece of interior design. Overall no complaints here Service Nice to see a small cafe with a healthy number of staff. I think they get very busy as there was a small army ready to serve. I found all interactions to be pleasant. I wouldn't say they went above and beyond but then again with our order of a freakshakes only it would have been strange for them to do anything which stood out at extraordinary. Food/drink We had the freakshake of the week which was Cadbury. Not going to lie, it was pure sugar and very indulgent. Just brilliant!! I will add that all the real food that they were serving to others looked great (even the toast and jam looked solid!) Price So I feel that this place is on the upper side of value, they are pushing it in terms of price but to be honest I would pay it again as the whole experience felt that little bit nicer than the ordinary cafe scene. What's an extra £1 or 2 for somewhere that you enjoy spending an hour or so! Overall If I lived closer I would pay this place a regular visit. I think it's a little gem in Bristols cafe scene.

Went in with my friend as she recommended the place we ordered 2 milkshakes and they’re quite sweet so my friend asked for a glass of water so balance the flavours. The girl with black hair went into the kitchen and came back with a silver glass and literally threw it on the table and walked off. That completely ruined my mood and experience, that’s actually rude and there was absolutely no need for that. I will never come back to this place, i am a manager myself and this is absolutely disgusting and im so upset. Management should sort out employees attitude first.

One of our favourite places for a treat. But only once a month as its 5 days of calories in one visit 😬

As i am lactose intolerant i was pleased to find somewhere that offered a milk alternative. I ordered a caramel milkshake made with almond milk and a vegan cupcake. I don't know if a mistake was made and cows milk used but I have never felt so ill in all my life and i was still in pain when I returned ti Coventry later that day.
