Lovely fishcakes and smoked haddock - both not overly salty. The others liked their burger and excellent breakfast. Busy and quite noisy when we arrived, which made hearing each other across the large table a bit tricky but it was fine when the party next to us left.
This place is a surprising little gem! Great food & service from friendly staff, open early for breakfast through to late afternoon. Contemporary décor with plenty of seating both inside & out, the latter being very popular with both dog walkers & cyclists alike.
I will definitely look to stop here again next time I'm passing, very recommended!
The food was amazing, fresh and hot. It gets very busy in here and you can understand why, the food is soo good, I had a vegan sausage and mushroom sandwich and it was full of flavour and was made well. The staff was friendly and helpful, I will definitely be going here again
A delicious lunch, fab atmosphere and brilliant service as always at Lockside. Gary and the team really helped make Mother’s Day special for our group of 8. The sunshine and sitting out on the terrace was a unexpected bonus! My salmon fishcakes were so tasty and my husband said his seafood linguine was better than he had in any Italian restaurant, loads of fish and even scallops! If you’ve never been - this really is a must. Booking recommended as it gets booked up quick. Can’t wait to come back soon.
We had a lovely time and a delicious brunch at Lockside. We were seated promptly. Food was of high quality (would have liked more coffee in my cappuccino) and service excellent. Thank you for adding to an enjoyable day 🌺
One word EXCELLENT - really high quality breakfast - excellent sausage - I had small breakfast with extra bubble and squeak plus fried potatoes - toast and jam also really nice you can't beat proper butter - coffee I had americano again really nice - covid safe very clean - excellent service great staff 10/10 I will be back
