Out in a Tuesday mid Sept. So not representative, but..
What a lovely pub. I went for the craft beer and wasn't disappointed. Not many stronger ones on. Had a Deya, so that's a great start.
Plenty of room. Nice out door space.
Knowledgeable staff.
No idea on food.
Pete Brown likes it so that's a good enough recommend
I had the Dirty Fries, and it was very good. I would change the cheese that goes on it though, as this is the bit I didn't like much... I think it would have been much better if the cheese would be a bit stronger in flavor, like parmesan.
All the rest was great, the staff was polite and helpful, and the ambiance was ok.
Go there!
Great pub in a slightly quieter corner of King St. The beer selection was really good and the food was amazing! My Korean chicken burger took a while to arrive, but it was worth the wait 😋
The best bar on King Street by a distance. Always excellent beer choice with Wings Diner providing the best Fried Chicken in Town. Dirty Fries and/or 2 Pieces definitely best of the bunch.
Great food, great variety of beers on tap. Loved the chicken burger and they even went over and above and gave us a free bowl of fries for our 2 year old. I think they're missing a trick by not having a veggie chicken burger option, like seitan, but my wife said the jackfruit burger was amazing. Unfortunately, the photo was taken just after my toddler smooshed the burger with her big fat hand.
12.50 for the dirty fries with chicken and Korean sauce. Decent portion. The sour beers are expensive but I enjoyed them.
Amazing local beers and perfect place for chilled drinks, especially in the summer. Kitchen has the best fried chicken in Bristol, and possibly the UK!
Highly recommend their loaded fries with gravy or Korean style wings.
Friendly establishment with an LGBT+ flag in the window.
This was the first pub on a strip of good venues along a nice cobbled street. There was a vast selection of craft beers on offer either from the tap (most were offered as halves or schooners) and in the fridge.
The bar staff were friendly and the place had a nice feel to it on a Friday night. Not too chaotic and pretty friendly so it was a good spot to have a beer.
I had a coffee beer (can’t remember that name though!) which was also very good.
Worth a visit if in the area. Don’t expect any household names on offer here, which is a good thing!
Nice food, good atmosphere. Big choice of craft and a nice low alcohol draft IPA.
Amazing place for food and drinks. Service is friendly and efficient, lots of choice of beers and other drinks and the food looks, smells and tastes amazing. We had 2 people walk past us when we were eating to say how good it looked. Generous portion sizes, great value for money and the best fried chicken I’ve had in Bristol. Make sure you order plenty of extra gravy and Korean sauce as it’s so good! If you are looking for a venue for genuine, unique and independent beers in Bristol, this is one of the best in town.
