Loved my breakfast except my fried bread was the crust from the bread which spoilt it for me never had a crust for fried bread ever..also a biit picky but tinned tomatoes dont do it for me..half a grilled one would have been great...

we’ve only lived in totterdown a few months but this place is already a very firm favourite for post-night-out breakfasts. really good food and excellent prices, as well as just a great vibe. the staff are all lovely and do a great job. very recommended!! [i would note that the only negative reviews seem to be for deliveries. why you would get a cafe breakfast delivered with such high expectations is beyond me tbh]

Quite a large selection on the menu! Including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.
My partner and I had an all day breakfast, which we couldn't fault at all.

Nice and helpful staff, friendly and relaxed atmosphere and great food with lots of options to choose from, including vegetarian and vegan. Very good prices too! Did I mention dog friendly? Definitely recommend!

We live in south Devon & come to Bristol to visit our daughter & her fiancé. We have been to totterdown canteen a couple of times before when we have wanted to go out for breakfast & this is the best place by far. Food is amazing, staff always so friendly & the prices are great. I did read a bad review which is really sad & of course your food is not going to be piping hot when you are waiting on the delivery driver to get there. If you want a super breakfast then this is the place to go as they are second to none. Just to say thank you again for great food & service.

Lovely traditional cafe with great food, friendly staff and decent prices. Good selection of vegan and meat dishes. Coffee was great too. Use it or loose it people. Hard to find a decent cafe where you can get a meal and a coffee for under £8 these days.
