The restaurant was very clean and welcoming. A very busy environment, so would recommend booking ahead to avoid disappointment. The food tasted very fresh - although for a couple of the dishes didn’t seem good value for money. All in all I had an enjoyable time.
I have been here twice and I ate really tasty food both times.
The first time was with a big group where we ate loads of tapas. Second time we were two and we ate curry.
The curry is awesome: flavour is perfect and the spicy is spot on. Meat and fish were both time of good quality.
Service was fine and the restaurant is nice.
As a Cople we paid £50 for two tapas, two mains and one pint, including 10% of service charge.
Not a big fan of service automatically applied on the bill (especially if there is no tablecloth and the table was "sticky", or anything that can justify it) but since the food was great and the amount not that high I was happy anyway.
Each dish was served in a generous portion and was presented with class and creativity. It was a wonderful environment for relaxing and I very much enjoyed the tapas culture of sharing and discussing food. Our order of 5 tapas between two was more than satisfactory, and those looking for a lighter meal should probably go for 2 dishes each. Everything we were served, and by extension everything on the menu, was fresh and vibrant, unpredictable even. There was a twist to each dish that in my opinion places Koh Thai Tapas above any other Thai restaurant in Bristol. This is a beautiful, serene restaurant serving full-bodied flavoursome food – perfect for dates, parties, and small gatherings.
An amazing selection of traditional thai dishes, bursting with flavours and textures. We had a selection of different dishes chosen by our waitress based on what we both liked and it was spot on. Atmosphere was pleasant and felt welcomed. Will definitely be going back.
Food was pretty good. Very good presentation as well. Drinks were unique and tasty.

Great lunch offer, but not that authentic Thai. However, it’s still delicious.
Best Thai place in central bristol! very authentic food and good service.
Amazing food and a very relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff and a superb date night
Good food. The pad Thai was 7/10. The curry was really good. Not spicy at all.
Yum, tapas option let's you try more. It meant i didn't need to decide which main to have, I had both.
Quite expensive but good portions.
The restaurant is nicely laid out. The tapas style of dining works quite well for the Thai style of food that they serve. Starting with a couple of cocktails from a 2 for £12 menu it was a little disappointing that we were told the cocktails had to be the same drink. They were tasty enough though. The food was well cooked. Especially the seafood where it is so easy for the chef's to over cook shellfish and squid these were done perfectly. The batter is crisp and fluffy but the only issue that I had that most of the starters and side dishes are battered. By the fourth dish it was getting a bit much. The sharer tasting menu is quite the way to go and isn't terrible value for money. We left stuffed and happed and for the two of us with a cocktail and a pint it worked out at about £40 per head. Not too bad, worth a visit.
Good service and lots of selection on the menu. All the special cocktails seemed a bit sweet, a drier choice might have been a nice addition for pre meal. Sightly expensive for me but I did choose a taster menu and left very full!
Great foods and service. Would highly recommend xx
Tried to make a reservation but temp closed due to covid. Have dined here many times and have always walked away full and happy. Menu is extensive and is the most authentic food I have had outside of Thailand. An easy recommendation. The cocktails are ace too!
Lovely authentic Thai food. Great service too. We had the £22.50pp tasting menu - great to try different dishes. Food excellently cooked and very tasty. Will definitely be going back.
Excellent Thai food. Quick service. Nice price range. Pleasant ambience and friendly waiters. Music that was modern/tasteful and did not drown your conversation . Our "best find" for 2017 in Bristol.
I always like Koh Thai, and this one is no exception! Great service, and the food is brilliant. It's slightly pricy but the quality of the food justifies the price in my mind. Restaurant is spotless and very nice - still my favourite Thai restaurant chain. They know what spicy means (although I'm not quite brave enough to try the jungle curry yet)!
