We are new to Bristol and we're starting to know places to eat. We've been to Loch Fyne before in Covent Garden and it was good. This time the experience was better because the more local environment. The service was really nice and friendly. The menu is nice and the fish was fresh and tasty. The food was good and enjoyable but nothing espectacular. It's a nice place to go with your partner or friends and enjoy some fresh fish and seafood. Don't expect a wow experience though.
Loved the great service and value of the Mussel Madness evening! The food was delicious and the service from our waitress Hayley was superb-attentive and friendly and very much appreciated after we had some specific requests such as brown bread etc
As far as seafood goes, this is the place to go!
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the very bubbly and lovely staff who showed us to our table and given some water as it was really hot outside.
Our food arrived pretty quick as there was only a few of us in the restaurant and it was so delicious. The flavours and freshness of the food was incredible.
If you're in Bristol and like seafood, give it a try!
Accidentally ended up here twice and had such a great time both times with wonderful service and food. Super fresh oysters, fresh seafood, knowledgeable staff, good wine pairings, what more can you ask for! We're definitely going to become regulars here!
Had a very good lunch here today. Excellent friendly service from Tod. One 'My first Oyster' was served for free to our youngest companion; a nice touch. We had the fishcakes, smoked salmon and half dozen oysters for starters. All fresh , great tasting and nicely presented. Then some calamares and fish and chips; quite a big piece of cod in crispy batter and tasty fries. Would recommend this restaurant any time!
Great food and staff very friendly and happy to help. Visited on a cold stormy Sunday night, and this brightened our trip to Bristol.
Starters were lovely.
Kids enjoyed the linguini. And we loved the monk fish.
We were extremely happy with our visit. Excellent food, friendly and fast service, and a good atmosphere (music loudness acceptable). Portion sizes are good, prices are fair and you don't regret a single bite. Really a nice place for a great dinner... and yes, the espresso is good too.
Lunchtime menu is really good value with a good choice and has a lot of the items on the main menu. The menu contians a lot of seafood items but there are also meat alternatives if you fancy them. The staff were very friendly but the service was a bit slow.
Very nice restaurant. Staff are very nice and helpful. The food is excellent. Would absolutely recommend salt and pepper squid starter. If you are driving, there is on street parking in the surrounding streets. Best time to go there is at 5pm - just before the rush starts! otherwise you might find yourself having to park in the Extortionate NCP car park near by. Also there is one hour limit on the street parking. But the restrictions apply up until 6pm ( @ time of writing) hence why I suggest you turn up at 5pm. Plus loch fyne won't be as busy yet, and you will get served quicker and pick any table you like :)
I love this restaurant. The staff are brilliantly professional. The food is always perfectly cooked. The menu is comprehensive on the fish front, as you would expect, but there are limited choices if you don’t want fish.
The ambiance is pleasant but not really romantic. You won’t be disappointed to eat here if you like fish.
Really fantastic food and great staff! Nothing was too much trouble and also helped with choices to accompany the fish dish I had chosen. Beautiful building. Very lovely evening overall. Definitely recommend Loch Fyne.
I absolutely love Loch Fyne. Been a little while since I was here last, and it's good to see the menu has changed a little. Fabulous service in spite of being a lone diner. Typically of Bristol car parking isn't easy or cheap, there is a nearby NCP multi storey.....vastly overpriced but a five minute walk away. Street parking is available along Welsh Back, pay and display but difficult and not guarenteed. There is also a car park near to the Thekla which is pay and display. Why not park at the Great Britain and get the ferry down.....nice way to arrive, if the weather is decent!
