This is my second time coming to Mrs Potts and somehow it felt less than it did the first time. Everything was still the same but the chocolate dream cake felt so much denser this time. It’s still a deliciously rich cake but it feels like a whole slice feels like too heavy.
The chocolate mousse cake was quite nice too! Perhaps a bit too sweet for my taste.
This place is chocolate heaven! During my short visit to Bristol I popped into Mrs.Potts for a quick coffee with cake. I ordered the Matilda cake and the chocolate mousse cake. All cakes come with chocolate poured on top. You can choose which flavours you want. I also got some coffee to go with the cakes. Both cakes tasted soft and fresh. The coffees complimented the taste of the cakes. The place has a vibe on it’s own. Perfect for a coffee date.
I'm not a fan of sweets but this chocolate cake blew me away. I've never had chocolate cake this rich and delicious yet not overly sweet and overwhelming. the coffee was delicious as well. great ambience and staff.
I had a great experience recently at Mrs Potts chocolate house. I had a special request to treat my surgical team at the hospital that had looked after me during my surgery to remove a brain tumour and thank them for everything they had done for me. The manager (sadly, who's name I didn't get) exceeded my expectations at every turn, and gave me excellent attentive customer service that when above and beyond. Overall a great experience and she seemed to really enjoy this aspect of her job. I'll be returning again. 💚
Got a few slices for my mum visiting. Tried the mousse cake, one of the best chocolate cakes i have ever had! Very friendly service too. Not the cheapest but definitely worth it. Can’t wait to try the Matilda cake next hopefully.

The hot chocolate was so creamy and tasty. Not like your standard watered down hot chocolate you get in some places.
The cookie sandwich was so good, although I would advise to share it as one can be a bit too sickly for 1 person only.
The atmosphere was nice and inviting and staff was really friendly.
We had such a brilliant time at the children’s chocolate making workshop that we booked during the summer holidays. There was a lovely atmosphere and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We popped back later to pick up the chocolate bars that my son and step daughter had made and stayed for a drink and slice of cake, both of which were delicious! We came with a friend who has a dairy allergy and there was a wide selection of options available for her which was really impressive. Looking forward to our next visit already.
A lovely place, nice and cozy. There is plenty of sitting area. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is a chocolate lover's heaven. There are all kinds of chocolate desserts, including cakes, sundaes, cookies, brownies and melted chocolate which you can get drizzle on pretty much anything you order. The Dulce de Lece sundae is absolutely delicious, a massive portion so it's perfect for sharing. They offer different % chocolate hot chocolates and a variety of teas. Very nice place with delicious treats
What a great idea for Chocolate lovers this is Heaven - Hot Chocolate - Chocolate Cakes - Chocolate sauce etc very filling We over ordered but luckily we were allowed to take what we didn't finish home with us in a box provided. Staff were friendly and helpful.
It's interesting to me that you can choose the kind of chocolate for your hot chocolate. I go for the classic one with cream, it's very nice and not too sweet.
You can also choose the chocolate on the fudge, the fudge tastes even better with the chocolate on it.
The atmosphere is good but it's a very busy cafe.
